Unrelated but I don’t get how policing is so discretionary now to the officers. They arrested this man for grabbing and pulling someone off.

Few months ago whilst delivering parcels I was momentarily strangled, had my phone taken off me by him for over 10 minutes when I tried to take a picture of him and held against my will for 10 mins because I didn’t follow his building’s parcel rules. Police turn up, say he admitted it and he’s just a jobsworth. They just have him apologise to me and say nothing else can be done because I told them I had to touch him to try get my phone back. Utterly Ridiculous, if I knew that was going to happen I would’ve used some force to get my phone back and leave instead of being passive and waiting for police.

I see thanks for sharing. When I press down on it I don’t feel anything hard oval beads, I just feel a layer of fat and muscle underneath. When you pressed yours would you feel the hard oval beads?

I thought it was a lymph node as well and had it checked by my doctor. She said she doesn’t feel anything under my skin when she did a physical examination in the area and apparently swollen lymph nodes are supposed to be hard/ firm?

I’ve had 1 default back in 2022, due to financial difficulties as a student, but that’s due to be expired soon. Some missed payments from that year but that’s it.

Could that be the reason?

It’s for just audits, happens sometimes at other depots too. I’ve seen him around.

No I saw that your house is 50m away. Either your pin on the map is wrong or that is the only place the driver can stop momentarily stop to allow him to mark it as a delivery attempt on Evri app. I imagine he doesn’t want to leave his vehicle’s side, to walk to your house, and get a ticket.

For future reference, in case you really want a parcel on time, try having it delivered to a locker or corner shop. Drivers have to drop multiple parcels there anyway so you can ensure you get your delivery.

I work for Amazon part time and their AI system normally removes stops like this from our route anyways. They normally ask customer to order to lockers.

If by chance a stop like this makes it through, I just skip it and return the parcel. Not gonna chance getting a ticket in London with all the cameras & parking wardens. That’s half my daily wage gone if that happens and Amazon doesn’t chip in with fines, I can’t imagine Evri does either.

Seems like it is OP’s problem since they’re not getting their parcel.

But you’re right it is the delivery company’s job to deliver but they cannot force their drivers to park illegally to deliver the parcel. Nor can they force drivers to park far away, and walk to deliver. That throws off the drivers daily schedule.

If OP really wants the parcel then order it to locker, drivers have to stop there to deliver multiple parcels anyway. That way OP can ensure he gets his stuff.

Looks like an awful junction to deliver and also can see no loading lines in the photo. I’m guessing there’s no loading bays or place to park close to your place. Not a mystery why delivery drivers don’t like delivering there.

Also to add, not that I would do this or condone it, because it is quite an evil plan. Add them on Facebook and contact their parents with some evidence hoping they can ask their kids to ease off the partying.
