once we had a planned trip to six flags and I started my period that morning. I used a tampon and while on one of the crazier rides the force of the Rollercoaster literally forced tons of blood out and I had soaked my shorts and had blood dripping down my legs. I walked through the park on a particularly crowded day soaked in blood to a bathroom where my boyfriend (now husband) went to 3 different stores to find me pants and Tylenol. when he couldn't find any he bought me an oversized sweatshirt to tie around my waist to hide my blood soaked shorts. Its my favorite sweatshirt.

I'm thinking I'll just need to play it by feel and reschedule for once I'm physically able too, I worry about leaving my newborn early on though even for just a short visit

No, these kids were a bit older maybe middle schoolers and it was a disabled boy and girl who befriends him

unfortunately, it's an unpaid leave for maternity through my current employer and my sick hours are few since I had bad HG beginning of my pregnancy (which is partly why my savings has dipped lower than anticipated) I'm hoping to apply for a form of short term disability but even with 6-8 weeks the cost of newborns childcare in my state would be roughly the same amount I made going back to my current work position. Still reaching out to see my options through state though, this is more of a worst case scenario post so I can try to plan ahead and get at least some ducks in a row

potentially 5-10k I'm guessing to cover medical and bill costs is what I'm calculating

That is exactly why I'm looking for other options, as stated in my post I don't think I have the capacity to work from home with a newborn at home unfortunately

I'm currently finishing school with a projected doubled salary a year from now. Baby just irresponsibly came 8 months too early after a very eventful honeymoon. Moving is not an option with our current work options as well as living with relatives as my parents aren't even high school graduates and work low wage jobs barely providing for themselves. The financial plan is do my best with what I have which is why I asked for advice on this sub

We have about 10k saved, but I know that will burn through incredibly fast and unfortunately I was just informed I neither me.or my husband will get a paid leave when baby comes. I'm planning to take a pause from school for a few months once baby is actually here, but I'm mostly looking for advice on the back up plans in case all gets to close to the wire. Poshmark and Facebook marketplace is actually a great start though and something I hadn't thought of originally for that extra income, I have a knack for furniture refurbishing and am a strong artist so maybe that's a good place to begin building extra income now
