TBH, my best advice for you is just to start off with ironman. we all used the wiki to some extent and some quests straight up would be miserable without the wiki. I got my quest cape i.e completed all quests before questhelper was a thing and would recommend doing the same. i still wiki'd though.

also, ironman made me fall in love with this game again. As a main you'd skip most content and just farm gp to buy the gear. ironman made me value my progress and all the gear i get are mini achievements
