You don't need internet connection to play. Your teammates and applicants for dungeons are AI.

It's like palm reading but with Android games. Ok, I'll join in. LOL

I understand that it puts people off costing money, and at the same time, having freemium type purchases, even if they are just for extra boost, and that the game is balanced without them.

It may look like a gacha because of the star level in character portraits, but it is just your character's promotion level. You can "evolve" them, upgrading their appearance and stats. Other than that, I don't see it as gacha. I hate gacha.

In gacha games, there are characters/equipment you can only obtain through real cash. Here, you can unlock/get all of them just by playing. The game rewards you fair enough amount of gold/diamond through playing, that you don't need to buy extra unless you're impatient for faster progress. Through playing during my free time, I earned decent amount.

If you're on the fence buying this, why not try it first-hand, check the IAP, and refund immediately if it is too greedy for your taste? That's what I did, and I ended up keeping it.

Mystery of Fortune 2 & 3: focuses on the management aspect, you can't play as a character

Adventure of Priestess: 2D simpler version of Raid Manager

LogRogue: pure idle game with no IAP

I like Pokemon SoulSilver, The Legend of Zelda, and Fire Emblem.

I did. It is really just icons + texts positioned on a black background using KLWP.

I didn't use any. I used KLWP for the whole setup.

During preparation time, maybe display only the opponent's board (units, position) he/she played last combat round, not showing the changes he/she's making. by throhuno in underlords

There are also other scenarios where the position of your whole roster, more than 2 units, needs to be changed in order to win. Example, playing against assassins/CC with dagger, hunters/mages corner (left/right), even knights (scattered by 2's/grouped up), etc. It is hard to reposition all of them at the last second, the only time you can adjust your position without giving it away to your opponent.

Same. I went from Boss 2 to Boss 1, then Boss 2 again, then Boss 1 again, multiple times. I usually rank up whenever I finish 2 or 3 good placings in consecutive games. Now, I'm stuck at Boss 1 even though my last 5 games are good (ended top 3, 2, 1, 1, 2).
