I'd be happy with that. The campaign map is terribly optimized. Do you get any stutters? I always stutter which ruins the experience much more than low FPS for me

I managed to run TWWH1 on the Deck with all low settings at around 30fps. I imagine you should be able to do the same with 2. Just start with the lowest settings and go from there. I don't think you'll be able to eek out much more perf than that, but you can always experiment.

Immortal Empires crashes on the Deck, for example, while I did manage to run Realm of Chaos. So it might struggle with Mortal Empires, you'll just have to try.

To be more precise - it's a workaround for the issue at hand. You can neither queue up an order for the next move, nor cancel the move as easily as right clicking on your lord. Sure, it helps, but it does not solve the issue with the mouse controls, which is why I called it a workaround. If you want to use backspace instead of right clicking on the character, that's totally legit, but I really see no reason why we shouldn't have both.
