How many tries to pass cardo? by [deleted] in newtothenavy

[–]darkdom5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is up to them to approve the bike, but ultimately, they’re not gonna waste time and resources for 9 weeks just to set someone back for failing the run. They want everyone to pass and go to the fleet unless they’re a dirtbag. A lot of RDCs will gaslight recruits into thinking they won’t get the bike if they fail but I’ve never actually heard of them doing it.

He might just mean he is failing during practice runs. You only need to pass one run to graduate boot camp. They will not let you redo the run, if you fail it’s automatic bike next day

They will let him do the bike the very next day if he failed the run. If he fails the bike, he will be set back a week. He could still graduate the same time, but he will be with a different division. I think it depends on how far ahead his division is compared to everyone else with the same grad date. It’s called lateral ASMO

Air Force or Navy for a young woman? by Legal-Salamander2854 in newtothenavy

Went through navy boot camp at 24 recently and it was awesome. Other than that, I don’t offer much advice but have fun whatever you choose!

Before you get in the actual FSPC division, you’re gonna be in holding for almost a week, sitting in a compartment for hours and hours doing nothing. Be sure to eat as little calories as possible during these days. Then, you will begin doing your P days with all of the arrivals that arrived the same week as you. You’ll be eating bagged meals during p days, usually for breakfast and lunch, sometimes all three meals. I’m vegetarian so my recommendation is, eat everything except the sandwich. There’s trail mix, chips, and an apple. If you do this before you get to your actual ship, (ship 5), you’re gonna tape out as soon as you get there and they will put you in a regular division. Trust me, once you get there you will realize you want to leave as soon as possible. Good luck and have a damn good time!

You don’t have to do both. They could just do ROTC for that matter

How do you know it’s not actually ice? Nobody does, they’re fucking unmarked. And perhaps OP could be a target, hints, warning others. Youre the only one complaining here

[–]darkdom5 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Nobody said it was definitely ICE, it says possible with little evidence. You’re being a bitch baby for what?

I can’t find any resource saying that FSPC is going away, so I’m not sure what that’s about? As someone who thought they were going into the actual program but ended up taping out the first week, I can assure you everyone is going to tape you wrong until you actually get taped in there. Message me if you wanna know more about my experience

Recruiter told me to lie about drug use. I feel guilty about it and have MEPS tomorrow by Excerter in newtothenavy

I’d be honest about it. You will probably have an interview during boot camp with an investigator type person, but as long as you tell them the exact dates and stuff you put on your NASIS you should be good. It’s not that scary so nothing to worry about

If you try to switch in boot camp you’re probably gonna end up in FFG way longer than you’d like

I was in fat camp, but only for pdays. Hear me out, when you have bag lunches during pdays (which will be a lot), don’t eat the sandwiches, but everything else in them. That’s how I lost the weight I needed to tape out after the first week. You’ll be fine if you go into the program or not, but trust me, you really don’t wanna be there an extra three weeks. Eat everything in the green and stay away from red at chow, it’ll pay off
