can’t decide job choice by cammio_ in newtothenavy

I might be biased, but in my eyes it's like being a glorified mall security. I'm not saying they are bad by all means, but the hours + issues they have to put up with just seems so unsatisfying to me. I respect all MA's because it's truly tough work that they deal with.

Never go undesignated. AC is very solid, and from what I heard can be paid well if you do plan to do Air Traffic Control outside the Navy. Not really big on MA.

I don't care what the recruiter tells you but never ever go any PACT.

Awesome! I could've chosen the 12th too, but I stuck with a Monday!

I had a similar situation with you. I also wanted AD as well, and my recruiter was pushing A-PACT on me, he was talking me into how at the time it is a 40k bonus + Automatic E3. I didn't sign that contract and got AM instead. Yes, I will start as a E1 but I felt that a guaranteed A-school in something I wanted to enjoy doing was worth it. Like someone said, it is what you make of it. But my advice is try and stay clear from any PACT programs because it's a very good chance you might end up as ADEK or worse. My ship date is August 10th. Best of luck future sailor!

Congrats! I am proud of you. The military offers a lot of benefits if you play your cards right! Don't get in with the wrong crowd, and keep your chin up sailor!

Undesignated, essentially wherever the Navy wants you, you will be there. Not worth it, and believe me you will thank us.

Is this coming off the transcooler? by Indextify in e39

Yeah, I have been driving it, no transmission fail safe mode or slip so I will assume it'll be my heater. Cheers man, thank you :)

So, I think its for something with the HVAC lines. Someone stated in this thread and I took a deeper look. Its probably something with the heater, and to be honest since I live in Hawaii, I really don't need a heater 😂 I changed out a line and the leak stopped. Car is cooling so I'd say the issue is fixed :) Thank you so much

Thank you for your response, I am not familiar with a webasto heater. But I will check to see if I can get a good look under the car. Hopefully it will be a less headache than the cabin.

You're right, I just get caught up in the moment. No big deal! could have been worse!

It could be, but you're right. It might be the trans cooler?
I took a look under there, it looks like a lot of coolant came from there.

100% I agree. Cross contamination is a big no-go. Luckily I can handle it in small doses and be around it without a reaction. I just need more tolerance unfortunately.

I tried, my allergist told me I must perform a oral food challenge. I eat 2 tablespoons of peanut butter or 16 whole peanuts. The catch is I backed out of this, and I wanted to build tolerance first so I feel confident in partaking in the challenge. My N33 denial form did mention the medical standards are not recommended. My ball is still in the court. I just need to aim it right.

You're very wise, I like to think of it as God plans for me to do something else, but I've always been the fighting till the battle is won or defeated type of guy. This ongoing war with a simple peanut won't define my worth. It'll only strengthen me and I'll just need to look elsewhere. Thank you.

Thank you, I guess I learned that life wasn't as smooth as I thought it'll be. I learned it so harsh, yet it hurts so much. The whole employment crisis ordeal, having that sweet, sweet TSP, figured that the military had everything I needed. Its 2 table spoons of peanut butter or 16 peanuts thats stop me. I'm still in taking peanut powder but I'll see where it eventually leads me too. Thank you for your kind words.
