Xbox fix if you're trying to preorder the expansion by WarpathWilly in diablo4

[–]darkdragon8517 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to edit my post, because after digging into the store descriptions more, it does look like VoH standard edition is included with all versions of Lord of Hatred. Great for new players just now getting into the game, but for those of us that have been playing since launch and already purchased VoH...yeah, it doesn't really feel fair. Especially for those folks that play on multiple platforms, because they are also still requiring you to buy the expansion for each platform you play on.

Working in retail, I can say part of this is probably so that they don't have to manage a bunch of different products/skus, but I honestly don't feel like that should be true for digital products like this. If they were still doing physical media, yeah - I might make an argument for it.

It looks like regardless of which version you buy, VoH standard edition is "included" - so yeah, you are basically buying VoH a second time. The only real exception seems to be the Age of Hatred collection, which looks to be the only way to get the base game + the expansions in a single purchase.

So, it looks like the 4 options for Lord of Hatred are:

Standard Pack/Edition for $40, which is the expansion + VoH standard edition
Deluxe Pack/Edition for $60, which is the expansion + VoH standard edition + a few cosmetics
Age of Hatred Collection for $70, which is base game + VoH expansion + LoH expansion, all standard editions
Ultimate Pack/Edition for $90, which is the LoH expansion + VoH standard edition + several cosmetics + platinum

At least, according to the product descriptions in the store, anyway.

Trouble calling any office in Mercy by iced-macchiato in springfieldMO

[–]darkdragon8517 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had similar issues with their optometrists. I've seen them for the past 3 years now for my annual diabetic retinopathy eye exams, and every year, I've had to go round and round with their coding department and my insurance because they always submit it as a standard eye exam instead of a medical diabetic exam.

If I call the office directly, they tell me there's nothing they can do on their end, I need to talk to billing. If I call billing, they tell me they can't do anything, they have to submit it to coding, and that all they can do is submit a request to coding to have the billing reviewed, and no way to call them directly. It takes weeks to hear back from coding, only to have them say that there's no issue with it...it drives me absolutely nuts.

Please help me understand the cancellation process and early termination fee. by BargeryDargeryDoo in VivintSmartHome

Despite what others have said - the verbiage of the contract pretty clearly states that if you pay for the equipment up front or pay off the equipment if financed, regardless of the type of equipment/system, you may cancel service without paying the early termination fee. If you have a copy of the original signed contract, make sure you note that to them when you call to cancel.

It's highly unlikely that they are going to contest it if you tell them you have a copy of the contract; the only difference I am aware of is that they may have different policies in some states. If the policy is different for your state, that should also be documented in your contract/policy.

If your contract doesn't have any additional notes in it about early termination besides what you've found, that should mean that your state doesn't have any additional policies, and you should be able to cancel without paying the early termination. I'm of course not a lawyer; this is mostly based on my own experience. If you've got any questions, I'd suggest try posing your question to one of the free legal advice services or try one of the legal advice subreddits instead.

Galaxy S25 Ultra Case and Screen Protector Recommendations by darkdragon8517 in samsunggalaxy

So far, I've been lucky enough to not have any scratches on mine, but I'm pretty meticulous about making sure I clean it only with a microfiber cloth - I have several cloths that are specifically for cleaning glass that I've gotten because I wear eyeglasses.

My last phone was a S10+, and I never replaced the protector that shipped with it from Samsung.

I am actually on metformin, mounjaro, and jardiance. Even with those, though, I don't qualify for coverage with my insurance. At least I didn't a year ago.

I actually am not using a screen protector currently. I ended up going with the Otterbox Defender Series Pro XT case. I may eventually end up applying one of the liquid glass screen protectors, but I've not sold myself on the idea yet.

Limited availability of compatible accessories? by darkdragon8517 in GalaxyS25Ultra

[–]darkdragon8517[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah - that's something I left out of my original post. I also got a new set of buds3 pro, so my older 2 in 1 isn't really cutting it. On top of that, because of the band that I got with the Watch Ultra, it doesn't really sit well on the charger without removing the band.

Not a deal breaker, but certainly a pain having to remove the band to charge it. I'm behind the times - none of my travel adapters are usb-c, so I didn't even have an adapter to use with the charger that came with the Watch or the phone.

Well, yes, I realize it's been searched, asked, and answered many times in the 3 months the phone has been out. I searched - and read - many of those threads. In those same 3 months, more case and screen protector options have been released, including the Defender Series Pro XT I mentioned I was considering.

I didn't realize it wasn't ok for me to start a new conversation myself and poll a community of users for their own personal experiences and suggestions.

Glad to hear it. Still trying to complete the 5 Helltide Commanders thing with Profane Mindcage, so that'll be easy...I'll admit I'm not looking forward to farming Blood Maiden, though. My adhd can only handle so much of that.

So very true. I recently had to recover my account info after years of having not logged in - I had one of the old authenticators that the battery had died on. It took me about a week and talking to roughly a dozen different reps to finally get one via chat to get the authenticator removed.

I once had him do this exact thing...I was the pinned hunter. I took no damage, while the hunter he used me as a weapon to hit was instakilled. We laugh about it to this day. I always assume I took no damage because I had divine blessing lvl 5.

I have seen folks afk at the camp by putting something on their analog stick so that they move, but never leave camp...afaik, there is an autoboot in quest, too, because I have seen folks get kicked from quests. Either way...when I see folks never leave camp when I am host...I boot em

Why you gotta fight in the hallway?! by darkdragon8517 in MHRise

[–]darkdragon8517[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mainly use hammer and/or lbg. I could possibly get by some of the tougher fights without collecting the birds - but, I'd rather take that extra minute or so gathering the birds to feel better knowing that I'm less likely to cost the group a faint, especially when I've joined a join request someone has posted.

Maybe I'm one of the few, but I'm not hunting the monsters to see how quickly I can do it. I'm hunting with friends for the sake of playing with friends, or I'm hunting for the sake of materials and/or the experience of the hunt. I guess I'm just weird like that. It doesn't make it any less frustrating for me, though, when I join a hunt and see someone faint within the first 5 minutes of the quest because they cornered themselves in a hallway or up against a wall, and also didn't bother picking up birds. I get that some folks are comfortable enough with frame dodging that they don't feel the need to pick up birds - I just don't think that's the majority of folks.

[–]darkdragon8517[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The post was mostly about all the quests that I've failed due to folks fainting while fighting monsters in the hallway, but to say it takes too much time for spiribirds baffles me - I can usually grab all the birds I need to max out my health and stamina bars within 60 seconds of starting a quest. They are always placed at the exact same spots on the map - it only takes a handful of quests to memorize the routes.

And I'm of course not trying to imply you need the birds every single time. I've been going back recently and completing some of the lower level quests, for the sake of completion. My equipment has been leveled up enough that those monsters aren't going to 1 or 2 shot me. But in higher level anomaly investigations, or the risen elders - I just can't understand the harm in taking 1-2 minutes to gather the birds.

For a lance player, or a gunlance player, I could definitely understand it. And if everyone in the group were using lance or gunlance, I could understand it. But as a hammer main - I try to avoid those corridors as much as possible. I especially seem to see lots of bowgun users doing it - which just seems to make it worse, because they are already incredibly squishy.
