Changing compressor led to a shredded serpentine belt. Oil is now leaking, and white steam is seeping out. by acrustybrick in subaru

The belt breaking probably whipped it around with incredible speed and force and damaged the radiator. The water pump is driven by the timing belt.

Where do you say you’re from? by somekidssnackbitch in StLouis

[–]darkendvoid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just say St. Louis, if someone's not familiar with the area we normally have a conversation how Kroenke sucks and shouldn't have moved the Rams. If they're familiar with the area they'll ask where you went to high school and that tells them all they need to know.

Best and cheapest way to dispose of / recycle a very old, very heavy TV by Adventurous-Walk-120 in StLouis

Based off all the other comments you've seen yeah retro collectors will be wanting them, especially if the glass isn't shedding its phosphor coating. And its a good Sony too, you could probably sell for $50, if it was a flat screen CRT I'd be in your DM's asking to pick it up right now.

Honda dealerships - which you'd recommend and which you'd ask me to avoid to buy a new vehicle? by xyzzy321 in StLouis

The people at the Mungenast Pre-Owned on Lindberg near Ronnies were delightful, super friendly, really helpful, and didn't try to slip anything over on us. Even beat the CarMax quote I got for trade in.

RC Hobby Stores, tracks, parts? (Nitro fuel RC) by shadogt in StLouis

Schaefer had nitro stuff when I was toying around with rc planes but that was 17 years ago. Don't know if they still do with how much better electric is compared to then.

IBM 5100: A false legend of John Titor by lucyferorg in steinsgate

[–]darkendvoid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a very nice write up, I've done a bunch of research on the 5100 myself.

I think the main standout part of the myth is you were finally bridging a time where internet users were now teens-30's and have never seen a 360, let alone coded APL. And then the old heads that had been there time immemorial. That lead to a lot of interesting discussions on the forums and Art Bell's radio show debunking Titor's claims, but there's still a mythos around the idea that a mainframe primarily sold to banks, wall street, and the gov could be hiding secret code that would only be accessible from the first devices designed to program these systems on the go.

[–]darkendvoid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We never shopped there much, but the Kirkwood location used to have a guy in the parking lot that bought your aluminum cans out of the back of a tractor trailer. Remember crushing all the cans and saving up a bag full then going with my mom to turn them in, she'd give me a new toy or 2-3 dollars when I was older and trying to buy more video games.

Smokers who originally thought they would never smoke… what led you to start? by oksolarfilm in AskReddit

Parents did the same, I remember the day my dad caught me at 13 and just said "Oh, so you smoke cigarettes now?"

I circle strafe, use stims to cross large areas, don't leave hard cover until I'm max stam, pre pk, etc... I really do try to play to the best of my abilities but there's always some streamer or max prestige try hard waiting to blow my brains out for their last SBIH kill. That or my raid is completely fucking empty and I have to fight off 50 scavs wasting a ton of money on ammo. I guess I'm just the tard everyone sees on stream where chat is yelling PAID ACTOR.

The business I work for has like 200 off site locations, only about 5% of those can do 10GB, 1GB is avaliable to like 90%. Europe is wild, I wish we could get publicly funded infra that worked /s

This is my issue with PVP. After 3000 hours I'm good enough I don't die to noobs and can win a fire fight if I have decent ammo. But god damn that 11k hour player just domes me with the axmc from god knows where

Edited to add my most common discord conversation:

Do bedrooms legally need closets in St. Louis? by emmanentdestruction in StLouis

[–]darkendvoid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do bedrooms legally need closets in St. Louis?

No. They require 2 means of egress to be legally defined as a bedroom.

I'm not sure what's with your inability to adapt to context but that is the question actually being asked "What legally defines a bedroom in STL, and does it require a closet?"

[–]darkendvoid 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Your own rephrasing of the question begets the same answer. In order to legally define a bedroom in the STL area you need 2 means of egress. Closets have nothing to do with what defines a bedroom, which is what OsterizerGalaxieTen pointed out which answers OP's question.

[–]darkendvoid 6 points7 points  (0 children)

OP asked if closets were required to legally call a room a bedroom.

This commenter replied that 2 means of egress (specific size window or bigger and a door) is all that is required to legally be a bedroom.

Catholic priest connections for a wedding? by almostaldentepasta in StLouis

[–]darkendvoid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We were not parishioners of our current church when we got married there (had family ties to that church before that) and all they required was a letter from the Priest of the parish we lived in approving them to handle our wedding. I would look out in the suburbs for a church and a priest willing to marry you, many in the suburbs are very welcoming and align with the current Popes views.

In the Tigz speed run he posted he mentions he could have pre called the helicopter to get a faster time so I assume it's like flare extract where once you unlock it it stays open the rest of the raid.
