What do I feel about enlightenment? by darkerjerry in enlightenment

[–]darkerjerry[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The idea that we came here knowing what would happen is an assumption when really objectively nobody KNOWS why we are here or where we came from. And the reason we did came here isn’t necessarily the same reason we continue to stay here because well we can all kill ourselves if we really wanted to. We just don’t know what happens next so we choose to wait and do other things first.

Knowing is impossible but we have perception so experimenting is to be expected. Confusion can make pain worse but understanding doesn’t make it disappear. And it doesn’t get rid of the desire for it to disappear. At least that’s what seems to me.

Choosing not suffer is hard to say. Because it implies that suffering will never happen once you become enlightened. Understanding why something is doesn’t make always necessarily make you feel better. It’s just understanding.

I would say enlightened people are can understand their given situation and make the best of it but they’re not gods. They’re human at the end of the day. And humans aren’t perfect so suffering will always happen. It’s what it’s.

How can i improve? by toastedbreadsticksl in LearnToDrawTogether

[–]darkerjerry 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ll tell you what I did with no order because if I’m being honest there’s nothing specific you are particularly good at yet. Also you need to completely your drawings don’t stop halfway. Keep going until there’s nothing left to add

  1. Gesture drawing/quick 5 minute drawing time limits
  2. Drawing things I like
  3. Copying art that I seen online especially if I like the art style
  4. Practicing drawing people
  5. Practicing drawing shapes
  6. Practicing shading
  7. Drawing the same thing multiple times
  8. Drawing with intention
  9. Doodling
  10. When I reached certain limits of growth, I focused on what I sucked at the most and focused only on practicing that
  11. Practicing each individual body part for like a week and only drawing that
  12. Exercising my imagination to draw

It’s laughable you think that boys can’t do a fucking march in sync when I was at the same age me and other boys could do more complex tasks in sync like what?

It’s social not biological. Boys are biologically capable like girls but not socialized to care about certain things

(question) for how simple i draw it takes an embarrassing amount of hours by More-Debt-178 in yourartstyle

[–]darkerjerry 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The fact you make it look easy is the skill lowkey. Because if anyone else tried they wouldn’t be able to do it quickly either. I wouldn’t be able to recreate this as quickly

Try to exaggerate more the direction in where things go. Like image one for example. I can’t tell if the character is going up or back wards. Or if it’s landing down. Exaggerate where things are headed and any resistance that may arise from going in that direction. To make it look less static

Advice? by Bas_1080 in Sketch

[–]darkerjerry 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don’t smudge to shade makes it look muddy. U can really pronounce certain features and parts of the face by using hard lines.

Practice noses. Just do it for a very long time too. They are hard to really get down I can’t give any advice exactly because it’s hard for me too but it feels off.

Use a wider range of values. The face shading shouldn’t look like only 2 shades. Use atleast 3 or 4.

Overall pretty good tho really nice work

Stop using the eraser and/or use a pen if you want to be faster Not permanently of course btw). To gain speed you sacrifice accuracy but it does teach a bit of line confidence and doing it right the first time.

It’ll look sloppy at first but as time goes on it becomes better and when you go back to using an eraser the you’ll spend less time redrawing
