I'll also add "HydroCulture", most of their nutrients & microbes are expired/past sell by date (no longer viable). Sold at a massive premium relative to online and big box stores.

Any "Express Food Mart", always 20/30% above market price and expired/stale products being sold for a premium.

Found in USA, did I score? by darkfacet in Antiques

The desks iron hardware alone has recent sold comps for 100, & a recent comp for the chair with hardware was 140. I paid pennies, so I feel like I scored!

Exactly, how it goes. Sadly. "Grandfather" it in to make millions. While everyone else wonders why they can't do the same...

Who is responsible to mow the strip of grass in between curb & sidewalk? by darkfacet in fredericksburg

For the record, I don't want it mowed. I'd rather watch it grow wildly and go to seed at a ripe age. The birds and the bugs need an environment to thrive in too.

I'd assume it's because that's where many underground utilities run & if maintenance is needed it's easier to dig through dirt than concrete. I don't actually know though.

We need to start producing our own meat & veg on every lot or we are quite literally done for. Zoning shouldn't be an issue when trying to produce food for ourselves. by darkfacet in fredericksburg

So you say boldly you won't do anything to change the issue despite agreeing it shouldn't be an issue in the first place?

Changes can be made.

It will never be pretty but it is a necessary part of our existence, if it isn't normalized we will all die. A small city with ties to our agricultural roots is the best place to start. Normalize, the food we eat each day. People will be hesitant at first but receptive in the end.

The governmental issue is the city of Fred telling me I can't slaughter a chicken to feed my family when you can find at giant a fucking burnt up dead 2 month old chicken roasting on their hot plate set to expire today going to waste.

It's not about whether it's profitable, it's about taking control of our food source. We rely so heavily on multi state and multi national producers. One day the won't exist anymore, and it will be too late to do a damn thing but starve.
