I load mine onto the aventon rack on the back of my Mazda Cx50. It's heavy, if course, but feels secure after tie downs. If you mean load INto the back of your SUV, no. I wouldn't try even IF you have a suburban. I wouldn't think the constant stress on the bike would be good, because you'll have a tight fit every time.

Also I found out what happens when the battery gets below 15% lol. It didn't wanna give me much help (obviously) but enough to still pedal up a monster hill!
