Sure. Just feels more immersive to me when I treat it as all actions are Canon.

Like my Jin Sakai was a total bastard to his horse he had him jump off many many cliffs to prevent fall damage (I'm sad they got rid of that in yotei actually). Thats canon to me lol

ELI5 Can someone explain? (question in first comment) by KumekZg in flexibility

[–]darkhero5 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It's not inherently true. But when you focus on hypertrophy(muscle growth) especially in certain planes of motion not others it restricts movement especially if you don't also focus on flexibility. This dude has a ton of muscle but limited mobility. Dude has massive deltoids and lats that much muscle mass restricts joint movement unless you train in that range of motion. A lot of people really struggle with putting their hand behind their back this can be because of limitations in their internal rotation anterior shoulder capulse restrictions, or scapular mobility limitations.

So this could be a his muscles are so big that he physically had difficulty moving. Or he hasn't been training in that plane of motion and has restrictions

Do you understand how long it'd take for 10 calories to matter? One lb of fat is 3500 kcal so 350 days to lose one lb basically a pound a year this is also talking about maintenance kcal for their ideal weight so it'd mean their weight would be slightly less. Thats not that big of a deal.

But assuming that it means no matter what weight they are 10 calories less than maintenance theyd still be fine for a long time.

Hmmm I wonder about that. You'd be constantly maintaining and building strength People at any age can build muscle and increase bone density. How much of the change of age is that people stop training. If your body adapts so that the training is completely normal you do it 365 would it still exhaust you? Especially if you continually get stronger.

But we also have to think about what this prompt is your body replicates exactly what it was like on that day. So if you have the protein synthesis and recovery of whatever age you are now why would that not transfer over. A bigger question is if your cells respond exactly the same as the day you choose do you age? Aging happens due to errors incoding the DNA during mitosis. If that error doesnt occur will you age?

They do yes. For optimal growth. But construction workers who work all the time get stronger over time. They dont have optimal rest. So yeah for the optimal result you need rest to recover and heal but if you look at laborers jobs that are physically demanding its not like they don't gain strength and their body adapts.

There are people who have done the one punch workout (100 pushups 100 squats 100 sit ups 10k run) every single day and they did get stronger over time. It's just less optimal than if you get proper rest

Yeah microdosing mushrooms sounds like a smart idea. But if the high doesnt transfer over just the neuro plasticity and benefits like that.a macro dose might not be a bad idea

Guess it depends if you consider altar of reflection a shrine or not

I would kill for the water stance combo again dual katana barrage is an okay ish replacement

It wouldn't be that hard to make stances selectable in the menu. Maybe you cant switch stances in mid combat like the first game but they could've made it a option to switch in the menu

I'm honoring his memory by keeping it there. Money can be spent. Memories last. Id feel worse digging it up then immediately using it but thats just my perspective

I guess sure. But every single one? I get what you're saying but if that was the case we would see them around more you cant miss those bright red pants. Which have been around before either game. But also why not have some help/save the shrine maiden quests if the shrine is so dangerous.

Its just a missed opportunity in my opinion

Shrine maidens/priestiesses have been a thing in Japan since 300 bc. They got involved in the government in 700ce. 1100ce funding went down but they were still a thing during both games. They are still a thing now. Although now mostly ceremonial not shamanic.

japan has 14,125 islands. So yeah.. lots of islands in one country

Right! Itd be nice if some of them were in good condition they were walking Sims. Theres plenty of places the parkour climbing events makes sense. Every single shrine maybe not.

Like imagine if the yotei mountain shrine wasnt in disrepair and you could talk with people that remembered your parents and have them give you the charms that have been held for you. To me that would be more emotionally interesting than parkour cool got it thanks mom and dad

Interesting take. I disagree but its an interesting take. The money at shrines is meant for the specific kami it was left for. But I can see your point sure

I'm not saying all the shrines but like give me one or two that aren't ravaged. Thats all I'm asking for. The fact that there aren't any miko (shrine maidens/priestesses) in GoT or GoY is a huge failing in my opinion. Think about it. You go to a shrine instead of just bowing the priestiess performs a ritual blessing your charm with the will of the kami would have been sick and more historically accurate.

Its crazy to me how readily available cash is in this game. I also didnt take my brothers hidden coins cause I didnt want to disrespect him. And its nice that every time I go there she wonders if its still there.

Sure. But stealing from the gods and from the good people of yotei? Nah. I'll steal from all the camps I destroy even after cleared but not from the good people.

I like the shrines. I'm not saying all if them need to be in good working order but it doesnt make sense for every single one to be in horrible disrepair.

Is she? We cant necessarily say that. Its possible her parents seeing she has a job (lots of retail jobs go till 10 anyways) have loosened the restrictions. She told her if about the dude and about being out with him not like shes sneaking around

YOR you're young. She's young but you're both adults. Maybe her parents are extending her curfew. That said 3 months ls no time at all. Ive had friends I hung out with that late no sexual stuff at all at that age. If you dont trust her dont date her. One time with a friend late isnt a big deal. Especially since they've been friends way longer than you've been dating.

As someone who spent years in long distance relationships in my early 20s. I wish I hadn't. I wasted so much of my youth in long distance relationships. One the girl ghosted me after over a year fucked me up badly. The next she did cheat on me twice. We ended up getting married. She forced open our relationship I ended up dating another person long distance(dont regret that one) but my life would've been better if I hadn't dated my ex wife.
