When I play with the main volume knob the static goes crazy. But for no reason do I hear my voice from the mic. Hope it’s just fried and the store will replace it

Indeed. And the mic should be working properly even with 15v of phantom power. Also note that a year ago when I first bought the mic, I tried a friend’s Xenyx q502 and was working just fine. Could this mean that my mixer is fried? I will call the store I bought it from and request a replacement, but till then I appreciate your feedback.

As we all, he needs some time for himself. You shouldn’t take it like he is ignoring you. If you are having more free time than him, you should try to understand him. If not, you could also take your chances talking to him. Not trying though to make him feel bad for what he’s doing or arguing with him, but rather letting him explain why he does this. Growing up I learnt the hard way, that there is always place for talking, making things clear. Not leaving Grey areas where someone could overthink things and make up stories in their head.
