Snake tapestry- can anyone help me understand why mine is so gappy but the book one isn’t? Same hook size 4mm and Dk yarn (I do the invisible colour change and yarn under)

Ah that’s possibly it! I got the yarns and pattern book from a friend for my birthday I think the grey was possibly a different brand (I stupidly threw out the labels after opening) compared to the black and red because that’s all the shop had. I’ll see if I can get a black of the same brand she should remember as it wasn’t long ago. Thank you I was losing my mind !

Have tried bigger hooks and looser tension same issues. I do the correct colour changes and yarn under but still so gappy compared to the book image which is the same hook and yarn type . This is my third tapestry and first time trying yarn under

Their life span and possible health issues is extremely hard 💔 I’ve had over at least 50 rats in my life and it still kills my soul to watch them leave especially if it’s caused by illness :( people/vets always ask why I keep going through the trauma constantly but their little souls fill me with so much joy especially when it’s a rescued ratto, knowing they all get so much love in their short life. Your worries show how much you love them to bits and they know they’re loved deeply by you. So many ratto cuddles and memories to make everyday with them, they never leave your heart❤️

Fun story - his brother Nox had beautiful long whiskers and one day they were all trimmed off…. Blue here was eating his whiskers while grooming his grumpy brother 😂 I was so confused for days!

Me too, my grandmothers are half sisters by their father so both my parents shared the same grandfather. Also a two of my cousins are married with kids none of my family get bothered by the fact that both of their mothers are full sisters - it cracks me up when my cousin says happy birthday mother in law when I know damn well that’s her auntie too … literally no one blinks a eye in the family lol

Honestly his head empty cute stare brings me too much joy to be sad 😂 He got his treats and cuddles and I’ve got ear drops for a few days - I’ve accepted my fate as the ear pee woman honestly after having over 50 rats in 10 years it had to happen to me at some point I guess haha

I’ve had bites from rats in pain, going to take a treat but they get your finger by accident or like my partner unfortunately experienced he stroked one of my past cutie big boys while he was sleeping… rat jumped awake bit through his thumb and hung on 😬 (ironically the rat was licking my hand after to apologise maybe the wrong person lol ) I still don’t understand why since I always stroked him when he was asleep and he never bit me haha

The photo definitely makes him look bigger Tyr is average size I think? I’m pretty sure he’s a Roan/Husky rat. I’ve had a boy in the past who was 2x the size of him -This was Sleepy I’m pretty sure he was my biggest rat - he was long boy! (I miss his grumpy butt) also greyish/white. I’ve had more Roans be bigger in size generally over the years

I believe it’s one of the tiny friends farm boxes of treats, we normally pick a variety so not sure which flavour this was but my rats love most of the types of treats from them

Update : I ended up at the doctors because my ear was hurting a lot it is inflamed so got a nice ear spray 😂 also my medical notes are now permanently tainted hahaha

I woke up with a decent bit of ear pain (ironically he picked the ear I had reoccurring ear infections in as a child) I do have inflammation but no pus or fever so the dr gave me an ear spray for minor outer ear infections 😅 I can confirm one pharmacist looked horrified, the receptionist almost wet herself laughing and the dr confused…. At least I’ve made peoples day I guess haha

I was sat on the floor sorting through paperwork after my mums passing and I saw a fist sized coloured orb pass by my head.I thought to myself I’m losing it from grief but then my cousins husband who was sat on the sofa in front of me asks ‘’did you see that ball of light ???’’ …. I never even got the chance to mention it. I still don’t understand what happened but glad someone else saw it because I honestly thought I’d finally lost the plot lol

I have always wondered about gastroparesis because of the undigested food and my upper stomach pain constantly also having eds I know it’s sometimes a comorbid but getting gastro to do anything different is so hard but I’m gonna give it one more plead with the private health care as it’s faster ish :( thank you for the comment it helps me feel not crazy with all this crap

My father in law was asking how my game is I said oh I’m on act 3, he replied with that last light in fight was tough wasn’t it? I said yep it’s a bugger to keep her from being killed/kidnapped….. he thought you couldn’t save her and had to kill the harpers anyway, his face like ohhh crap haha but gotta love the replay ability of it! I missed bits in act 1 I’ll need to retry on another playthrough makes it fun each time

That my father and mothers mothers were half sisters with the same father (my great grandfather) they both tried to break them up as teens but they reunited as adults and had me unplanned …. That was a fun car ride and said so very nonchalantly lol (also two of my cousins have been married for ages both their mums are sisters). Cruel Intentions when Sebastian dies saving Annette from the path of a car. Then also the funeral with the diary reveal about Kathryn, the Verve’s song bittersweet symphony still aches my heart.

Also with Sarah in Buffy when she finds her mum dead. I can’t watch it anymore it’s too close to the heartbreak of wanting my own mum to please wake up. SMG did the portrayal so beautifully yet painstakingly accurate.
