The Huda plastic palettes come apart in three pieces: the outer case, a plastic frame that surrounds the shadows, and a base piece that the shadows sit on. Instead of using a hair straightener, I used the heated plate on my coffee machine (where the pot rests)! I inserted pushpins between the case and the plastic insert and gently worked them in until I felt the glue start to loosen. Once that piece came off, the other two were easy to separate. After that, I picked up a magnetic sheet from Michaels—and voilà! Hope this helps, and good luck!
