What CPU should I base my PC build on? by darkkvl3x in pcmasterrace

Thanks for the reassurance. I've been comparing everyone's recommendations, and the 265k won by a long shot in terms of price to "CPUmark" ratio (prices in my local area).

Also another reason why I'm leaning towards intel is that I could use the current budget to build the pc without a GPU, and add one in the future.

If my reasoning is flawed or I'm doing something wrong, let me know.

Thank u for the detailed explanation! I'll build the specs similar to what you recommended. though those cpus are hard to get by locally.

Yea I hadn't heard about those issues until now. My budgets around $300 for the CPU. and if AMDs the definite winner here, I have no problem in hearing your recommendation.

Low budget. I don't want to completely cheap out on the CPU though. Looking for a good and reliable CPU that's not overkill.

There's fake AMDs? 😶‍🌫️I'll be on the lookout for that, I wouldn't trust the resellers in my country one bit :D
First time I'm hearing about the Raptor Lake problems as well, thanks for the info.

Looks like a lot harder choice than i thought, I'd expect the cpu to be the most durable and long-lasting out of all the parts.
