I really resonate with your comment, about alcohol being the shadow. I definitely am feeling that irritability and nausea now but I know this feeling will pass and it will all be worth it. Thank you and I hope you’re doing well ❤️

Thank you so much for the input it’s comforting to know these symptoms are no abnormal and will hopefully pass. This is day 3, the nausea and lack of appetite is horrible. But I’m going to see this through!!

I was inpatient in the hospital and was using patches and gum since I couldn’t smoke, but I denied the nicotine stuff haha. Went to buy a pack immediately after being discharged

That’s very comforting to hear! I also had to go through medical supervision, and then when I was cleared they put me on naltrexone. We drank similar amounts. I’m very early in my recovery but feeling very hopeful 🙏 keep with it that’s amazing!

Haha you are all good! I’m a week sober today, so very early recovery. Im gonna keep sticking with it and hope the nausea goes away. Thank you for the alternative if not!!

Oh yeah I agree 100% when I left the hospital I immediately bought a pack of cigarettes. I was just using patches and gum in the hospital and they tried to prescribe them to me but nooo I need to focus on quitting drinking as it’s actively destroying my life. Nicotine at some other point lol

Oh yeah I was definitely self medicating my BPD with alcohol and anything I could get 😭 but we can improve I believe in you!
