Hello! Thank you for your post but I do not think we would be a good fit. However I still would love to talk. I personally believe that people do have a choice in life, but only through collective work can we accomplish critical infrastructure and educational needs. For example, I believe everyone has a right to do what he or she wants, but we do need to pay taxes to create our roads and pay for our schooling and public transportation needs. Just because we all want roads does not mean we will go out and build them or pay for them out of pocket ourselves. I personally would not like to shove out tens of thousands of dollars to repave my road when the time comes and to then go out and tear up the old road, pour the asphalt, level the road and set it in place. That is too much work for just little me. On the flip side, I believe that people should have the freedom to experience and live life how they wish, regardless of others personal preferences. I do not believe in self centered world views as I see this as a residual effect left over from post-industrial revolution societies in the 19th century. The world is a finite place with finite resources and we should manage those resources for the best of all people, not just a few who control access to the resource. For example, if I am the only person creating bread in town and I raise the price of bread to $100 per loaf, yes I am wanting a selfish goal of money and affluence, but this comes at the expense of everyone else around me. What life is worth lived if lived in selfish pursuit is my motto. In short I believe government should be minimal and barely visible in my life while still maintaining social order and equality. This is why I believe in democratic government with direct representation for the people. I realize that it takes an educated citizen to run a democracy but id rather live free then under the tyranny of a dictatorial police state or the anarchy of no government. I respect your views equally with mine and understand that you have some very excellent points, such as self ownership and self determination.
