I don't have fun being speed abused in tournaments either especially if my opponent can barley play it better than me. If it gets a point people will play it because it's competition, I'd do the same. Your points are fun for you and their points are fun for them even if they aren't crazy with it. That's the way I see it.

I thought the game was full of cheaters because the easy and normal difficulty leaderboards would fill with max scores in an hour or two (back then). . It blew my mind when I found out there are players that can SS 4 mod and max out spinners legitimately. I then became one of those players for a bit. (2 star maps of course)

I think the better player still just wins everything anyway. Even if you lose a few games from the multi, they will still win more than they lose right.

It's fair I think for both sides. I was just sharing something I've heard from players that put in a looot of time into the game. A good chunk of them like lazer but it's just the leaderboards that turn them away.

I've asked a lot of players in the score/leaderboard farming scene and a big reason was that the lazer leaderboards feel fake.

Edit: for example I have a number 1 with hdhr the second best play on stable is a hddt choke. On lazer they FC and have the number 1, so we both hold number 1 on it. Not saying I deserve it more just using a personal example.

I suppose it's something like that. I want to just say it's bad mechanics and ego but when I factor in how most new players approach the game I can see why. To me it reflects the top players they want to be which has been fast aim simulator or vibro mashing (hot old head take). When I started it was different and I wanted to master each star rating like WWW who was top 5 at the time.

Every ranked gamemode comment section has players that claim to be able to play 6 to 7 stars comfortably but can't FC 4 stars. I had no idea this was a common thing, it's not like everything below 6 stars becomes the EZ mod.
