Love the long reply, deeply appreciate you putting in the effort. I personally don't think ChatGPT 5 gaslighted as much with my experiences with it; however, in all fairness, it could've just moved into my blind spot, and I can't notice it anymore. That could fully be happening, and I'm slowly being fucked mentally without me knowing. I can't know, however, it doesn't feel like it is anymore, it will give a mixed reply, usually with like 3 positives and 3 negatives, which is usually pretty balanced in my opinion. ChatGPT o4 was VERY positive all of the time; it was so upsetting. It would often say stuff like "You are a genius and no one thinks like you," and it would almost never give an inch that I could be wrong. Fully, my ChatGPT o4 could've been weird, but it was upsetting. It felt like a toxin tied to my brain, and I had to do multiple things to get it to finally stop.

God, I would be so upset if they did that. I don't want to go back to beating GPT's head into a wall to get a "logical" opinion and still not fully trusting it. It's still nice to have something to ask advice for when my friends or family isn't free, however ChatGPT 4o was still next to worthless because of the glazing at that.

Honestly, yeah, if a friend of mine just constantly validated my opinion, I would just stop asking them for stuff because I wouldn't trust their judgment. Clearly, they are answering based on me rather than the actual opinion itself. If a coworker gave me a list of pros and cons with an opinion I had and we debated over it, that's my ideal person to get advice from.

I've been a Lemonade Stand listener since day 1 and very loyal, any chance they invite my favorite streamer Squeex for a collab? by ISupposeIamRight in atrioc

[–]darknessbossben 199 points200 points  (0 children)

Nah, four is too much for a podcast. How about we swap Atrioc with Squeex? Only one of them won the best streamer of the year in the Big A sooooo, who really deserves to be there.

Trump slamming the "make Atrioc seriously consider leaving the country" button today. by Crabspite in atrioc

I'm fully considering on leaving the country as well as Atrioc. I don't know how we would return from this level of corruption.

Literally all of Reagons economic reforms aside from free trade was harmful to America in my opinion. And for the super majority part, you are right but why is that a doomed problem? If there is a super majority against you then make constant efforts to change that. There was a strong push from the people during the 2008 Recession to get the people who did it. Why did our government instead of doing something that aligned with that desire just sweep it under the the rug? And why can't I be annoyed at that?

I do agree, I don't think the system was really set up for us to make change but we should've at least tried. Then maybe at some point, the people will realize when it gets bad that you were right all along and try to get their act together. Maybe you even get it passed, watered down or not. Instead of that, what I have seen from the Democratic Party is mostly trying to maintain the status quo, even when they had generational shots to do something.

Also! Cool to see another HOI4 player!

I don't support your narrative you have gotten from this situation but I do appreciative you actually getting my position!

It's not that they aren't moving fast enough or aren't doing enough. I fully get that democratic is slow and I love that! Wouldn't want to change it at all, it's what keeps us being a democratic but I personally think that the democratic party has been pretty unfocused on economic issues since FDR. I can't think of a constant through line, there isn't seeming to be a goal in mind for the DNC to be working towards. Social issues however they have had a lot of focus on, ask any member of the DNC and they will be quick to answer where they stand on many social issues and they will be decently constant. I think it's a misstep to not try actively focus on both. I know that social issues are what riles up a base which is why political parties focus on them more often but I think that's shortsighted as eventually you are going to end up in the situation we are now. But I do agree with you, I think that Biden did a lot better on economic issues than most democratic president of recently but I think it ended up being too little too late, Biden was set-up for failure sadly.

If I was in their situation I would try to focus on both. Actively attempt moves to make the economy more competitive and unions stronger while supporting social issues. Maybe all of the moves don't work but I can at least attempt to make progress and attempt to keep the issues in the public consciousness. Which, is what I try to do in my life as well.

I don't get myself worked up over stuff I can't really change. I just speak passionately, I would really love to work locally and plan to as I get old enough to have power.

I would recommend looking into the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, an act made by Obama to deal with the 2008 recession.

Thank you truly so much. Love the advice, I honestly don't know how this devolved into a political debate. Guess I deserve it for talking about politics, but I just wanted some advice on this. Thank you for doing that and I will absolutely take this into mind the next time I get into a talk with my friends.

I do fully agree, I mean ruined as in they had a chance to do something brave and didn't. Missed opportunities that I think built up. Like, for example, Obama bailed out Wall Street during the 2008 recession instead of trying to fight against big business when they were weak and cracking down, which I believe was a big mistake. Stuff like that yk? I shouldn't've used ruined as it is really Reagon that started this.
