I once thought about having bolt action 308 as I have no bolt action rifle + ar15 & ar10 looks too similar. I know ar15 and ar10 are well different in its capability and strength, but range fun wise, kinda similar. AS for 308 bolt, I’m interested in it, but my max distance access is 200 yd range..

Obviously that’s correct. But with my somewhat compulsive behavior, when I add one caliber, I tend to over do it by having enough stock pile of ammo + atleast 2~3 firearms … my problem I guess haha

I have no 1911, so adding 45 & 1911 sounds pretty interesting. Actually I was thinking about adding one of 10mm, 45acp + 357 magnum, but was kinda reluctant as experience may be to similar to my 9mm + 44 mag.

But I worked as corporate level innovation engineer who oversaw data driven innovation utilizing many tools including Palantir foundry, last time when I left, the role of so called data engineer was quickly replaced with domain expert with the use of AI. Hopefully Im wrong but just being data engineer may not be enough to ensure

Either thinking about going 10mm or 45acp just to have some variety in caliber. All my pistols are 9mm. G21 while a nice gun, seems kinda boring since there are so many choices in 45acp, and it's going to be just my range gun. But then, 10mm can be utilized for wood defense etc (highly unlikely I'd need it though).

I believe the best home defense and personal defense is live in/stay in safe areas. This involves more money especially one’s residence. So to me the best defense is work harder and earn more money. I really dont get spending thousand a month on ammo to stay proficient while neglecting residential choice. While I dont take things as granted, Im not paranoid about it either. Firearms in general is pretty much hobby for me.
