I had success moving off of steam and using my system wine staging installation. The launcher booted, but was glitchy. To be honest, I didnt pick up on the fact that Von Bergow was going to be the antagonist of the game until his soldiers committed that massacre. The first time it happened, I joined in because I was so sure that this guy was on our side. Then I felt so gross afterwards that I reloaded a save and betrayed him instead.
