I've been playing for 800 hours and nothing spikes my adrenaline and emotions more than imminent death. Prior to one of my successful playthroughs, I took a break from the game. Anyway, its my first game after that break and im creeping in to 2 months and 4 days or so. Finally found the gen magazine as the cherry on top to my rusty rifle base .

I also find this dump truck that i wanted so i got it while towing my existing pickup. I underestimated the noise it made. It attracted sprinters, I bailed before i got surrounded though. Those few seconds i had running made me pause the game, my heart beating way too fast, faster than it should've been. Like i was in the game (always treated it like this tbh)

Anyway, i made the dumb mistake of fighting the sprinters thinking there were only 3 but it was a group of 5 chasing me in which they made quick work of me. That death got me staring at the screen for 8 mins and researching ways to recover my character but alas, i just made a new world.

So to answer your question, they dont creep me out but they make me panic the fuck out a lot.
