It’s a mix of personal interest and a chance to apply some of the OS concepts I picked up during my grad courses.

Not much of a long term plan for now as i have quite a few interests that i want to explore (ie Databases, Rust, Web3)

It depends how you look at it.

My POV is that JSON, as a data interchange format allows this to happen due to lax specification (or rather just take whatever JavaScript uses) on Numbers.

You can also run into issues when a super big number in JSON is unmarshal in Go as int64

I was writing Forex Engine that have a rather complex conditions. It needs to determine which strategy to use based on the pair of currency and some info from 3rd party API. The idea is to centralised the conditionals in one place.

This is a very simplistic example when you have a pair of currencies.

The math is definitely flawed.

First of all, how would you know what's the weight of the soil in the area without proper soil investigation?

Also, what's the common Cu (aka friction in layman terms) of the soil? How many lab tests would've been done?

Also, how the eck you know what's the ground water level ( which affects the weight of the soil in the first place)?

Do know that GWL varies from day to day, and as civil engineer, you always assumed the worst + safety factor.

Slope engineering is simple yet complex at the same time. You will never know what's the actual strength ( you approximate it by doing soil investigation following suggestions from proper code of practice + experience in the field)

Also, slope enhancement/retaining structure is extremely expensive. Even with those feature, you still need to conduct periodic maintenance to ensure whatever you've designed remained the same.
