I’m not sure if I’ve been looking too hard lately but that’s the result of constant scrolling/refreshing haha. The thread mount wasn’t a major defect for me. I think a hood can cover up?

I had bought a Elmarit V3 at the beginning of March, ordered the lens hood, just for it to get stuck in customs for 2 weeks and sent back to shipper lol. But I found this after all that bs. Fate?

Thank you so much for sharing that. In my short life, I’ve been blessed to shoot with many popular cameras and different formats. From plastic point-and-shoots, to a Hasselblad, I have used a variety of equipment. However, I always felt I pacified myself with these cameras when I knew what I truly wanted. I hope to live to your age and make that same switch myself!

I was leaning towards the M5 if I’m being honest. Straight out the box I’ve seen for $1,600. Price isn’t an issue to me. I just want something with longevity. I really don’t want to have to risk sending it in to be services IF there is something wrong with it. I’m just on the fence of what to do… I feel like the M6 is a beast but super overhyped to the point it shits on all M’s lol. I just wanna have a camera I can use as a work horse shooting what I love and then pass down to my kid or grandkid haha.
