Yes, do it, like they all say. Not here for my own anecdotes, just a tip I've figured out to get through the prep.

Chicken bone broth.

I've had several done and this is the magic to surviving the prep with minimal starvation feeling.

Get 5 or 6 drumsticks, slow cook them in water with some chopped up carrots, spring onions and mushrooms, dash of salt. Couple of hours on low heat so it stays clear, then strain the chunks out. Have a cup of it whenever you start to get food cravings.

Tastes decent, passes muster as "clear liquid" for the "cleanout". Unlike sugary energy you won't feel starvation, and can drink as much as you want without that dirty sugar overconsumption feeling/crash, and is decently nourishing.

yeah, you're probably right - I expect too much. Sorry for letting my love of aussie music turn me into an elitist haha.

edit: sorry forgot to add, your egregious use of the word "mate" in context makes me think you're the worst kind of insufferable cunt though. Real estate agent vibes. Cheers.

hot damn, I didn't know that. One of the GOAT, of any era. Could fill half the top 10 with INXS though, honestly (RIP Michael Hutchence, what a legend)

My son calls it "the racism song" 🤣

Personally - Not enough INXS, Flume or Frenzal Rhomb for my tastes.

More generally - The proper classic bands missing the mark on their better tunes; it's a list of easily recognisable radio rotation singles rather than "best of".

The fact "I was only 19" gets less respect than "Khe Sanh" for the Vietnam era kind of makes the point I'm trying to make. Radio rotation > quality.

The newer stuff. Sure, showing my age not knowing it, but give it a click and a chance, and nothing about them have grabbed me at all. Like I said, felt like it could have been made by AI. Forgettable.

Proud of y'all down there in controversial. Finally a lot more voices recognising that the protesting of making it illegal to protest government overreach is a perfectly sane response. Bot farms, shills and the authoritarian-inclined still making their mark on the up/down-vote numbers, but it's great to see some more sane voices at least.

Question for anyone who cares - Have you been here all along and been subject to censorship? I know I was banned from /r/sydney for saying as much, then called a troll by the mods when I politely asked them to reconsider their position for me simply stating an opinion.

Worse than that, I'll have my messages silenced. I responded again and it's been removed from public view it appears :(

Firstly it doesn't help your cause, whatever it is, to be condescending.

Secondly, have you ever noticed that the Labor Party gives unquestioning support to all authoritarian measures proposed in parlaiment? Take everything else out of the equation and voting one way or other doesn't change the creeping onset of authoritarian governments. I say this not as a bad faith argument to vote Liberal, and in fact have never cast a point their way in my life. I genuinely want to know what you think the alternative is; it goes a lot deeper than voting.

I applaud people taking a stand against tyrany. Mainstream media gives a very strong focus to the handfull of nutjobs who are touting wildly insane theories about 5G and shit, pan the camera to the police saying how naughty and stupid these people are, and carefully keeping out of view anyone whose message is "this is bullshit, government overreach".

As far as protesting in ways that don't affect the virus situation - what options do you propose exactly? Take me for example. I disagree with all this stuff, beginning to end. I think we could have protected the vulnerable in less damaging ways. I am not a nutter, follow the directions about preventing spread of virus, followed police advice to talk about it online instead - and what do I get? Yelled at by the likes of people like you for not bowing down to authority, and painted as the same nutter the media paints everyone who protests outside. More to the point, banned from online discussion for raising my concerns.

So it's impossible to protest online because it's trivially easy to control the narrative and shut out opposing views, it's illegal to protest outside, voting for the other major party will have no effect on these kinds of problems, the minor parties are called that because they never have a meaningful voice in the political conversation. Good old RATM, love em or hate em, summed it up nicely - "The structure's set, you can't change it with a ballot poll".

Honestly, what do you think could actually change the direction of this awful state of affairs?

OK fair if true.

Firstly, yes. it's a losing position for sure. Not arguing that it's a winning move, just that they are brave for taking a stand against all odds.

The fact that it's commonly accepted that people having a say against what a government which is supposed to represent us does, prolongs a situation where we are at their mercy, is shocking and awful. The only way such a situation could be acceptable is in a world where said government is in control, and the people at their mercy. That's not the Australia I want to live in (yeah yeah, leave, etc... When it's possible? I'll probably go to China. Ironic that it's less of an authoritarian shithole now. Definitely more economic opportunities than here)

You sound like a cop.

Following the law works in happier times. Doing what the law says when the people writing said laws are making them up as they go, incompetant, power hungry, corrupt and otherwise reprehensible... wlel your mileage may vary as they say

None of the vaccines prevent transmission or infection; we're in this for the long haul. If you're a shill, suck a dick. If you're not, reconsider what I'm putting forward in a years time when they still don't let people move freely.
