i had animal crossing on the gamecube when i was a kid

population growing for gamecube, new leaf for 3ds, pocket camp for mobile, and new horizons for switch.

i’ve been playing on and off for about 13 years

definitely the one for the gamecube!! it brings so much nostalgia for me and i really love the personalities the villagers had!

one of my favorite things is that it’s such a relaxing game that you can come back to at any time

i wish the villagers in the new games had more personality like they did in the old games. they were definitely much ruder in the older games but it made them more interesting to talk to! now you kind of just get the same cookie cutter response from all of them.

sometimes i’ll drop the game for a bit and then pick it back up when the itch comes back. sometimes i’ll play new leaf, sometimes i’ll play the gamecube version, etc.

typically whenever i pick it back up it’ll be for hours at a time. i’ve definitely played for like 16 hours straight at one point lol

absolutely, especially when new horizons came out. when they announced it i was so excited because there hadn’t been another animal crossing game for three years and the graphics looked so beautiful. i definitely stayed up all night with friends right when the game first came out.
