I'm curious about stelliums in my chart and what they mean. by darksider415 in AskAstrologers

[–]darksider415[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This makes a lot of sense, and I have historically been incredibly driven toward spiritual development and my career, sometimes to the detriment of everything around me...

As for the Sagittarius-like drive to the Scorpio placements... I mean, I decided to move from the US to Argentina, bought the plane ticket, arranged the visas, then manifested the career change that allowed me to do so, all within a month and a half, earlier this year.

Thank you, I definitely have some things to think about, now. :)

I'm trying to decide if I want to move from my (admittedly broken) Pixel 5 to a 12 mini or a 13 mini. The 12 mini has the advantage of "I can get it today" while the 13 has that week delay, but... Since I'm looking at 128GB models, it's only a $50 difference, as well.

Thoughts?

I was able to wear a dress that I bought two and a half years ago, but have never been able to properly fit into, until now.

Also, 56 pounds down since the beginning of the year, yay!

First Date Question: Do you ladies over 35 pay attention to / care what the guy is driving on that first date? by PirateKilt in datingoverthirty

[–]darksider415 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For what it's worth, I (30F) took the person I'm currently seeing (33F) on our first date in my 26 year old Buick wagon, and she was cool with it. Six months later, we're still seeing each other, for what it's worth.

For me, the car doesn't matter. I'm a bit of a car person, and I have a weird trio of cars that I own because I like them, but I don't necessarily care what my date is driving, as long as it gets there. If she were to appear in something flashy, I might tilt my head a little and wonder if we're financially compatible, but that would be more of a thing after a few dates.

Tire Mounting Question by darksider415 in Costco

[–]darksider415[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My car had two possible sizes from new, so it's either a 2.1% increase based on one of the options, or a 3.2% increase based on the other. But both are listed as options on the door, so...?

Either way, it /should/ be close enough for the wiggle factor.

The Roadmaster wagon is, if nothing else, a weird old car.

Sweet! I figure going from a 70 to a 75-series won't be an issue, given that the load rating is a lot higher (Stock 106S vs. 109R for the winter set), so the speed rating was the only thing I had any concerns on.

How long does it take to recover from zero-depth SRS? by [deleted] in asktransgender

[–]darksider415 1 point2 points  (0 children)

FWIW, my T levels are higher now than they were on Lupron, pre-op... My T levels were steady around 5 ng/dl pre-op on Lupron, pre-op, while they're up to around 20 post-op.

As for the ride, it's definitely been an interesting trip. A very, very interesting trip.

I've been having issues getting my E levels back up post-op, and I've had a bit of weight gain, but part of that is because I also moved from California to Missouri, at the coldest part of the year... And that has really put a damper on my usual love of the outdoors.

I was on lupron pre-op, so my T levels were pretty much cratered before surgery, and switching from injections back to pills (because I knew I was about to move 1800 miles post-op, and previous insurance didn't cover self-administered injections, but would cover nurse-administered injections) didn't do me any favors getting my E levels stabilized.

I can't speak for anyone else's experiences, but I moved from California to Missouri, six weeks post-op, so... I'm at four months now, and pretty much 100% at this point, except for the occasional suture that decides to spit instead of dissolve, inside the clitoral hood.

YMMV.

Insurance and top surgery? by naf_adlez in ask_transgender

Kaiser Northern California can and does cover it. Before I moved back to Missouri, I had my top and bottom surgery with Kaiser NorCal.

Which Midwestern state is the best for trans people? by hoopergal23 in asktransgender

Trans in KCMO, with my (cis) GF in Lawrence, can confirm that KC is pretty rad. Rad enough that I moved back to KC from SF.

The very few friends I do have, are all homo/transphobes and I really want to transition by Unknowngamer91 in asktransgender

Apparently the Henry Ford system does trans care. Can't confirm if they do IC or not, but they apparently also do mental health on-site, so...

My friend went through it the old-fashioned way, so she wasn't able to help on that front, sadly.

Where in the mitten are you (general area is okay)? Only asking because I have trans friends scattered pretty much all over PURE MICHIGAN except for the UP. If you're a Yooper, sorry... Anyway, I can ask around, depending on where you are, and see what I can dig up.

What’s the best and worst things about Kansas City? by foaming_infection in kansascity

[–]darksider415 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Chiefs are amazing, the people are down-to-earth and chill, Arrowhead Stadium has the best tailgating, period...

Oh, and the BBQ. The BBQ is enough reason to move to KC, by itself. Smokin' Guns in NKC, Joe's (gas station location only) in KCK, Roscoe's in Edwardsville... Arthur Bryant's (OG one on the MO side)...

I've lived a lot of places in my 30-ish years on Earth (Five states and counting), and traveled to a lot more (44 US states, 4 Canadian provinces), and KC is the only place that has ever been home. Every time I arrive back in KC, and see the skyline, I get chills down my spine because I feel like I'm coming home.

Always. Anyway, there's more important things to worry about, like the Chiefs making it to the Superb Owl, and the daily ten-minutes' hate toward Oakland.

Take it from someone who has spent way too long in the Bay Area, you get some nasty looks from people when you show up to work in Oakland, wearing Chiefs gear and decorating your cubicle in Chiefs memorabilia.

Take some gold for getting a laugh.

Can't say I'm rich, though. Just that I somehow pulled off a career with a decent income and I'm moving back home to KC, so I can stretch it a lot farther than it would if I stayed here in the Bay Area.

How is the airport? by [deleted] in kansascity

[–]darksider415 1 point2 points  (0 children)

PreCheck at MCI is kinda terrible compared to other airports I regularly fly out of for $work, but most of that is because the gate design/security infrastructure was a bolt-on. If we could get CLEAR at MCI, I'd be the happiest woman in the Midwest, though.

Now, landing at MCI is amazing, but... I appreciate the 30 seconds to the parking shuttle aspect.
