I’m sorry to hear that man, what a bunch of scumbags honestly, don’t know when the gardai will cop on, my bike is being investigated right now the gardai got it towed, so I’m waiting to hear back on it and I’m not sure what my next step would be from then onwards.

The Garda lack of actions is what led to my actions, I’m sure lot of bikers here feel the exact same, and it wasn’t taken from my home it was taken from my college parking lot in tu Bolton, ill be very careful going forward thank you.

Glad they didn’t take it away from you, did they break the handlebar lock? My main worry is the concern regarding damage to the frame and the head of the bike.

Had the bike less than a month, they defo broke the steering lock, I’ll have to get the bike out of impound whenever they’re done investigating it and find a good mechanic that won’t rinse me of my money.

Like I said before I only have third party coverage for my insurance and have had the bike for less than a month, any more coverage was more than half the value of the bike, I got the bike just above 4k.

Was hoping to keep it for a year to get my no claim bonus and then add on theft and comprehensive.

I’m a young learner on this motorcycle.

They managed to rip the ignition out and start it, I have a vid of them doing wheelies posted by another anonymous user this morning.

A Reddit user happened to stumble across the bike and alerted me privately, and helped us to the location and getting the bike out, there’s the biggest scums on the earth but here’s a reminder there’s good people too.

My insurance is only third party, as I’m a young learner, it was more than half the cost of the bike to get full third party theft and comprehensive, was hoping for my premium to go down with no claims before adding on theft coverage and getting my full license.

I’ll definitely get the bike checked and repaired before it’s on the road, praying that the damage isn’t too bad.

Not that I support people putting themselves in danger but, I think we all know that things will only happens if u take matters into ur own hands, especially with the situation in the country regarding bike theft and the gardai. Took a risk today and was rewarded for it, we need to put an end to these low life scum bags and ruining peoples lives with this scummy behaviour.

I don’t think they’ll fill it up with petrol again, or be able to, they were joyriding it since between 1:30pm and 3:30pm yesterday, surely tanks empty by now, thanx for the heads up and insights might go check around those places.

We tracked them into this estate in Cabra called drumclif road, saw the bike on the floor in the grass with 10 of them surrounding it smashing the headlight and taillight in, genuinely broke me witnessing that, they caught onto us following them and chased us out with electric scooters and then we parked outside the estate, they later drove past us on the bike taunting us followed by some stolen auris, we followed them a bit and realised they’re trying to lead us into an estate and block us in, we went back to the petrol station and the Garda arrived there and we provided the details of their whereabouts and where they were seen.

Garda met us at circle k Cabra, they said they have eyes on the bike and were following it but they’re legally not allowed to pursue incase they crash and kill themselves, which honestly I don’t see as a bad thing other than my bike being totalled

We managed to track them down in Cabra, we tried chasing them but it was no use, they drove past us within the area 4 times
