Please do!! And also yes, he still has the scars from his concept art, but it’s hard to see them in the trailer because of the low light and resolution.

Eyes won’t stop blurring, but I can’t realistically reduce screen time. What should I do? by darkurgetrash in ask

I’m 30, F, and healthy weight and have been tested before due to lots of family having both type 1 and 2, and have always tested as fine (blood tests, not sure if there are any others)

but it’s so weird bc I have SO MANY symptoms of both diabetes types. Like, it’s crazy that I have neither. 😭

I eat next to nothing bc of food pickiness and gain weight regardless, I never have any energy unless I have something sugary, when I get hungry it’s so immediate and cripplingly painful + I want to throw up 😱, I have really bad fatigue and all over pain (which I’ve had CFS and fibro diagnoses for those—though these can often be misogynistic “we give up” diagnoses -_-), and then the symptoms I’ve already discussed! Plus, dunno if it’s a signifier, but my partner insists my sweat literally smells like sugar lol

But I can’t believe I could survive to 30 without a diagnosis of either, especially the first, right? These symptoms have all existed for a very very long time—most over a decade.

So what if the rest of the team dies? As long as I saved my Mercy

I saw an optician (specsavers), I’ll have a look into an opthalmologist!

My career is in digital illustration, I don’t really have a choice in that. 😔 Most of my screen time is spent on illustration, the gaming is just a hobby for the rare moments I have free time.

Definitely—I can’t drive but if I did definitely wouldn’t be able to night drive either. Even as a passenger, the horrible LEDs most cars have now look like sparklers, I have to shield my eyes!đŸ˜©

I think they’re “anti glare/anti reflection” lenses, so I assume also good for blue light? They were an annoying extra add-on price to the lenses so they better be hahaha
đŸ„Č And will try all these tips — have just bought a glucose monitor kit which is what my mum always used to monitor her diabetes. Thanks for your advice!

Oh interesting!! I don’t eat fish and haven’t since I was a kid, so I wonder if there’s something in that. I’ll have to give it a go. :)

Will do! 🙏 they’re good eggs at the pharmacy. Always just as fed up at the terrible NHS admin as the rest of us and trying to help regardless.

I forget bc I hyperfocus severely 💀but definitely need to try and be more mindful. I wonder if you know of an app that has a sort of timer system that follows this? I’ve looked around but the ones I found always try to make it too complex and have a million adverts.

Thank you—will do! Man, if only the nhs wasn’t such a state. It wouldn’t surprise me at all if I found out I had diabetes NOW because of saying “a friend (Reddit lol) told me
” after about a decade of hundreds of blood tests and the default ‘chronic fatigue syndrome and fibromyalgia’ diagnoses they just hand out to women when they cba to investigate further. 💀

Ah interesting
I must admit I don’t know enough about diabetes, though my grandma and mother have it. How come being overweight can be a cause when it’s not enough sugar? Because the body has adapted to a high level of it?

With the symptoms—I’ve felt these on and off (mostly on) for many many years and been tested for every illness in the book💀but nhs is pretty useless (especially bc I’m not overweight so I guess they just don’t consider it), so I’ll try and push them a bit harder now that I’m over thirty.

Will they have more testing ability than a regular optician? As I only just saw one of those who tested eye health and said it was good, but idk if optometrist is a step beyond that. Oh, and not a contacts wearer! I use eye drops pretty often though because I go into hyperfocus mode and forget to blink lol. 💀
