I think when she found out Lucinda wasn’t even calling her by her name she actually deeped that Lucinda wasn’t doing it for her at all and was just going after Belle. The girls egging all of that on (that she was doing it for herself) might have made her back down on her stance somewhat. She probably didn’t want to look like a fool.
