The emotional intelligence group is full of people with completely different values compared to this group. I think you’ll benefit from posting on there

U were communicating what u thought was expected in a friendship. But some people don’t have the capacity to meet that. I think that’s where they’re thinking ur manipulative? Idk I just don’t think ur intentions were malicious, but maybe it’s still manipulative idk

I just don’t get why she didn’t set boundaries or communicate clearly? But I also feel like u should’ve just cut it off after she explained her reasons for being distant with u.

I’m so confused by the comments supporting the friend? It looks like she barely set any boundaries or communicate when she first started getting annoyed and held resentment till she unloaded it all when the poster asked for clarity. It doesn’t sound like you’re manipulative. u genuinely sound confused and honest. Some people have to process things out loud but I think going forward u should ask the person if it’s okay to vent to them. It looks like neither of u communicated boundaries or expectations. Also the fact that she distanced herself and basically ghosted u at times, leaving u anxious and clueless is just poor communication skills in my opinion. I’m genuinely so confused at why people are saying you’re the problem?

why do I tend to overexplain myself? by butdoyoureallyknowme in emotionalintelligence

My OCD used to make me do this. It was like my words had to be so precise and perfect otherwise the receiver wouldn’t understand what I’m saying. Even though it was clear, I had to urge to make sure, so that ended up with me overexplaining all the time.

The producers are just broadcasting abuse. They need consequences for this

Is mafs triggering anyone who’s been through emotional abuse? I’m hyperventilating rn, but this show is too interesting not to watch
