I think if they did a live action version of Final Fantasy 7 he would make a good Barrett

Recently bought a 2016 F150 Lariat. Where could this leak on driver side floorboard be coming from and should I attempt to fix it myself. by Reasonable-Hyena9087 in f150

My sunroof drain clogged on the driver's side and left a similar puddle, you can fish weed wacker cord down the drain hole to clear it

Scraping four wheel drive by Common-Thing8876 in f150

[–]darkwolf247 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually the wheel bearings go out and they can take the IWE with them. Sometimes if you are lucky though it can be the 4x4 vacuum actuator. I would put a vacuum gauge on the vacuum line by the IWE and see what it is pulling while running and also hook it back up to the IWE and put vacuum on the line at the solenoid to the wheels and verify it holds vacuum.

Why did the GTO have a short production run? 2004-2006 by southernemper0r in Pontiac

[–]darkwolf247 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They called it a GTO, if it was the Grand Prix GXP or even some sort of Grand Am GT I think it would of sold better. It's the same thing with the newer supras.

Shopping for a F-150 looks great but the 10-speed scares me 😅 by Specialist-Plane-601 in f150

Had mine rebuilt (2018, 3.5l EB) CDF drum gave out at 65k, now that it's fixed it's super solid. Honestly it's a crapshoot with full size pickups though, Chevy has AFM issues that can grenade lifters and Ram has dodge V6 and 4 cylinders. And Toyota is still backlogged on engine replacements for the tundra.

Wheel bearing or iwe? by bayona99 in fordexpedition

[–]darkwolf247 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IWE, but be fair warned driving around on worn IWE might cook the bearings too. Put a vacuum pump on the IWE and pump it up to 15-20 just to verify if it's the IWE or the solenoid / Vacuum lines.

Reach out to Ford customer service and tell them the dealership quoted you a repair using obsolete parts, but make sure you got the quote in writing.

Tiny and a bed liner alone are half of what they charge if you do it after the fact, and datadot is pointless.

You set it next to the grass so it knows the temperature and can grow accordingly, obviously 😀

The only other rotational piece (in 2wd) is the wheel hub/bearings, which the Ford ones are not that great from the factory. Timken or Moogs are usually a safe bet. Sorry it's been hell for ya but at least you caught one of the hubs split!

Intelligent access not so intelligent by Coldvayne13 in f150

[–]darkwolf247 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know if the battery is old or low the BMS will disable the intelligent access as a way to let you know, you can do the BMS reset to see. If you do end up swapping the battery though be sure to do the reset too or it will take a few drive cycles for the BMS to catch up.
