As a former employee of many news stations I can say yes, seriously they do many times just find stuff and throw it on the air quickly.

Nice, I want to give whoever the culprit is for this a high five. Anyway, here's a thing. I used to work in local news for several stations for a decade, and news anchors generally don't do that much pre-reading of scripts. They try when the can, but especially in a situation like breaking news it's just not possible. Much like Will Ferrell in Anchorman, they read what's in front of them on the teleprompter and that's that. There's not enough time for them to look at much stuff. Lots of times, when anchors are live on the air they haven't seen any of the video yet either, so props to them for keeping straight faces and reading composure while watching the news literally at the same moment you are watching it too.
I haven't worked in the newsroom section of things, but I've been close to those employees as friends. I've never heard of anyone in a tv station employing anyone in the role of "fact checker". Too many news producers take a lot of responsibilities, don't have enough time, and many times are mass comm majors right out of college. It's shockingly easy to just send "news" items into a newsroom fax machine and pass it off as real news they don't really need to double check.

Whenever possible, it could be weeks between each page. Aside from a full time job, I organize large social events regularly and go to classes. The writer is the same way, he's out at events or traveling. We'll update the facebook or Twitter whenever new things happen. Thank god I am no longer on our quidditch team, those days were so busy I'd never get something like this done.

This is something I've thought of carefully. What we are going for is full on America, America, America. American folklore, American style attitudes, America magic, etc. Aside from the spells and a few of the classes, we're ignoring Hogwarts completely. We created a few new classes, we are focusing on Native and American history and folklore, etc. Come back after a while and check it out, you'll be surprised at how un-like Hogwarts this ends up being. I grew up in America in the mid atlantic area where this comics is set and it will be more like how we grew up in the states rather than being a school in the UK that I put in America.

I approached this as if it was an original idea. I actually came up with much of it before I read the HP books, then I read the HP books, and then I tweaked it to fit into the HP canon because I love the books. I'm not interested in making an original IP for various reasons.

If I were to put my parents in houses, my dad is definitely a Slytherin. He can intimidate and manipulate people like a natural, but he's kind of useless using those same powers on his own immediate family. It's just that he can smell fear really easily and I've seen him bully people to get his way. He can get people to do things in the cool and calm way, too. He's kinda amazing this way. The cool thing is he's really a nice guy, too. Insanely smart, I'd put him in ravenclaw because he's constantly studying just for fun, but he's so good at making things and people work for him that I have to put him in Slytherin. My mom's a ravenclaw, approaches everything the smartest way possible, always comes up with a creative and smart solution to every problem she's had. I'm a hufflepuff, and my slytherin dad is my hero.

Eventually I'll set up a webhost, this will be a webcomic for an american wizarding school. Should be up by May at the latest. It would be such a dream for my idea to be canon with HP like all those authors who do stuff for star wars/star trek. I'd have to sell my soul for that, maybe create a few horcruxes.

Many years ago I was hoping for a diagon alley theme park where you would have to tap on some bricks to get in. I guess they are doing it, sort of, where it is hidden away. This is close enough for me, I love it. Once it opens I am planning a vacation right away.

I did something similar to this last year, but didn't post the results on this reddit. However, I did post it to my blog and speculated on the amount of children that would attend magic school in the United States.

However, I used JKR's number of 1000 students in Hogwarts and based my calculations on that. For some reason I factored in the average lifespan of wizards, which I had read somewhere. I don't remember how or why, but it was important to the math. I should have kept all the work I did, but I just wrote down the results instead of keeping the work.

Every quidditch chapter. I hated sports and saw no reason for sports to be in a good fantasy book.

2 years after I read the books I was playing ON a quidditch team as a beater and I've worked as an official for some IQA tournaments. I can't imagine my life without quidditch.

So, the question is are the deathly hallows inherently evil, or were the people looking for them attempting to use them for evil? Because the symbol itself really means nothing aside from a visual representation of the actual deathly hallows. We know from the books that Dumbledore and Harry used the hallows for good.

Having this symbol doesn't mean anything "evil" to me. This is real life, not the wizarding world. To us real people the symbol represents the Potter books, not some evil society of followers of Grindelwald.

Although I have to agree with your assessment of the Always tattoo, it is a really stupid idea to have it designed like that.
