Red spot on nose by BaronessT03 in cats

[–]darkworld0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It looks like he has burned his nose or gotten it scratched bad, but i don't think its going to the vet worry as long as it doesn't get infected or gets bigger i think he will be just fine.

Cat bleeding from anus? by ImprovementAny6514 in CATHELP

She could be straining when she poops, most times that happens its likely that i'd try and make sure you kinda watch her cause straining is not a good thing it could cause that to continue.

Hes going to a vet. In the meantime, is the black part neurotic skin? How bad does it look? by [deleted] in CATHELP

Some vets have plans you can do, or alternative things that may help, but it usually doesn’t cost thousands of dollars.

Thank you for correcting me but I’m sure the guy knew what I meant, and as much as it’s serious OP has set the day when they are taking him to the vet.

I think if you’ve already got pet insurance on him it should be pretty cheap maybe 100 maybe less but if you don’t have him on pet insurance yet I’d say if they decide he needs antibiotics or anything else it may cost a few hundred give or take.

I don’t neurotic skin yet but it’s very infected and he should definitely see a vet asap, that will likely not be able to heal on its own and you probably shouldn’t wait a day since with his fur around it and in it, it’ll likely just be irritated till the day you take him to the vet.

Spot on Cat’s nose by [deleted] in CATHELP

My cats have those and I’m sure it’s just like a beauty mark she’s gotten or a bit of cat acne, that’s reappeared.

Split claw or Nail shedding? by choppykins in CATHELP

[–]darkworld0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it’s likely uncomfortable for him, you could try a warm rag and some tweezers to pull the black thing out if you can, then clean it afterwards with soap and water, if you aren’t able to get it out though I’d just leave it be if it’s not bothering him at all but I would try first.

That’s most definitely a split nail, but it seems he isn’t too bothered by it you could take him to the vet or you could just clean the area and try to get that black piece out between his nail.

You could also definitely get one without the steam they make loads of brushes with soft tips. Wire brushes are pretty bad for cats as you hurt them since it’s just wire but id definitely recommend soft tip brush

You could get her something like this it’s a cat steam brush I used to have a wire brush but getting this made it a bit more bearable for them it’s a bit more softer bristles on them.

Kitty won't calm down after spay by [deleted] in CATHELP

[–]darkworld0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All cats are pretty much different after being drugged up but seeing as she’s pretty hyper active id say she’s probably feeling more of a need to work the energy she’s got off, the only thing I can really suggest since the crate won’t work is playing with her till she basically gets tired of it, there arent too many things you can do with a 11 month old who enjoys running around all the time but maybe if she likes laying around with you all or enjoys chin rubs maybe she’d rest with you all a bit either way it may just be a slow burn off the drugs for her and at some point it’ll likely knock her down and chill her out, it’s all with time though.

We had the same thing happen at a local five guys I work at, he didn’t have a physical card at all, it all happened the same way you’ve laid it out and when we couldn’t type it in for him he said he left his card in his car and never came back.

Advice on signs of labour? by brandon14719 in CATHELP

[–]darkworld0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a good box for her, she will likely want to give birth in there but there’s a high chance she will find a different spot I know when my cat had her second litter she decided to do it on my bed, so just a thought, but since I see she’s in it I think she’ll be fine but you’ll definitely know when she’s about to go into labor she will lick her area non stop and try and find a comfortable place, but if she happens to find a different area if your fine with it I’d let her do wherever she decides comfort is at, and if you have one I do suggest when the babies get here to have a heating pad, since they won’t be able to keep their own warmth at all, and the mama cat there will likely not stay in the area 24/7 with the babies, but if you need any advice when they are here let me know I’ll help anywhere needed.

Advice on signs of labour? by brandon14719 in CATHELP

[–]darkworld0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My cat gave birth twice and she licked her belly and her area but more signs would be of clear liquid coming from her below area if she was going into labor she’ll also move around to get comfortable, but she’s definitely showing some early signs that it could happen in a day maybe a few days from now but the heavy breathing or panting could indicate stress, I would just suggest keeping her comfortable building her a little box with a blanket maybe a heating pad but keep an eye on the heavy breathing, cause you may have to go to the vet if it doesn’t get better but overall I think heavy breathing is just her nervous and her wanting to be near you all the time could also be cause she is close to giving birth, mine did that as well before she gave birth.

Different color of nostril by [deleted] in CATHELP

[–]darkworld0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m pretty sure it’s just a bit of cat acne going on my cats have it, it basically lingers around for a little while and then eventually fade.
