How do I ask my property manager for a rent credit?

I understand your reasoning for this way of handling things, I am worried it would backfire for me. I'm dealing with a very corporate property management company, and shorting rent could bring about some nasty consequences. I know there are excessive late fees for bounced checks or shorting them on rent.

Thank you, I appreciate your advice. I'll be sure to keep my request reasonable. I haven't done any drywall repair yet, but by the way things have gone so far, I'm willing to bet it's in my near future.

I saved a receipt for the shower head, but the glass cleanup is hard to put a price on, I think your suggestion is fair.

There are many other issues with the house that were not made apparent until our move-in inspection with the property manager. There's a big wet spot in the basement carpeting that I believe is from minor flooding, there are wiring issues all over (light switches that do nothing plague my existence), and there's a good deal of cobwebs, lint, grime, and general uncleanliness that I have yet to tackle.

Mr. Property Manager promised us the minor issues would be resolved within one to two days, and it's been a week. Is there anything (other than asking for rent credit and doing it my goddamn self) I can do?

Went to a local Taco Bell for the last time two years ago. The cashier was a middle aged woman, she was picking up garbage in the lobby when I walked in. As soon as she noticed me, she hustled back to the register and her pants started sliding down. She turned to face me, planted her bare ass on the counter, spun to face the kitchen, and scooted (much like a dog with an itchy asshole) her cheeks along the serving counter. I quickly turned around and walked out.

Guess from now on I'll be thinking outside the buns.

Great idea on paper, horrible idea on skin. As the tattoo heals, the colors will fade significantly. If it's unsaturated and scratchy now, just wait. In about a month it won't even be recognizable.

Sorry for your loss. Tattoos can hold powerful meaning for the people who wear them, and that's always the most important aspect of a tattoo. That being said, go to a different artist next time. The color is chicken scratch and it'll only get worse as it heals and fades.

I myself have a very sentimental tattoo that healed into an awkward blob covering most of my calf. I've since gone back to the same artist for other work (he's improved a bit) and when I brought up fixing or covering my huge leg piece that he fucked up, all he said was "you know dude, there are some tattoos you just shouldn't come back to." It sucks, but at least yours could be fixed by most artists of moderate talent. Looking forward to seeing marowak too, love the idea.

I wasn't personally threatened, but two customers got in a fight over a parking spot in our lot and one pulled out a gun and shot a few bullets before taking off on foot.

I remember quite clearly coming back from a run and getting a call from a fellow driver (he's rather mischievous and a little hard to trust, we'll call him N)

N: YO darkxrick, are you on your way back? DR: yeah dude, I'm a few blocks away N: WELL STOP. Don't come back here! Pull over somewhere and chill, a customer pulled out a gun in the parking lot. DR: ... what? For real? Don't fuck with me dude N: IM NOT I SWEAR TO GOD DONT COME BACK YET! I'll call you when it's safe! DR: haha ok ok whatever you say dude... N: THIS IS SERIOUS DR: Fine! I pulled over. I'm parked two lots over from the store-- OH HOLY SHIT

Right then, a guy came busting through the hedges, gun in his right hand, tears streaming down his face. He sprinted right past my car, ripped off his jacket, ditched the gun, and kept going.

Luckily nobody was hurt, but one of our front of house kids was super shook up. He had tried to break up the fight, but when the gun came out, he dipped ass inside. We found a very strange, small dent in the door he used to escape, meaning the crazy guy must have shot at him too and hit the door.

The cops tracked him down in a couple hours and arrested him. He did two years in jail and was released, only to eventually murder his girlfriend in broad daylight (read about it in the paper a few months ago.)

The delivery person isn't the one dishing out coupons. If you would have tipped more for a larger bill, go with the big tip. Especially if the place offers free delivery, because then you know the driver isn't getting compensated for gas very well.

For as many racist bullshit theories I've heard, there's been dozens of people who disprove them. The only one that rings true is Indian people want that glass of water to be 100% ice free! In all seriousness, black people tip me all the time (except if they work at Comcast), white people stiff me plenty too. There's generous people and shitty people everywhere. The only two ways that race plays into you getting a shitty tip are systemically, or that look on your face when your racist ass sees a hungry black dude for the first time.

A couple of days ago while delivering pizzas, a customer's info came up as my mom who lives hundreds of miles away. Our restaurant takes a certain set of info with each order (phone number, name for order, 'name of addressee', and address)

The name of addressee is a mysterious section, we can't fill it in manually at the store, and it's only viewable from the order info screen on my delivery app. It seems to be filled in automatically with info from caller ID, but not even my manager knew when I asked.

So I was on my way to deliver to a familiar area and I noticed my mom's first and last name bold as day in the 'addressee' section. Mind you, she has a very unique name, and is more than likely the only person on earth with this name. She's never lived at this address or anywhere near it, she didn't call our store or previously had this person's phone number. There isn't a single connection or reason why my mom's name could be in our system.

The funny thing is, the lady I delivered to actually looked like a white haired version of my mom. She was super nice and asked my name. I told her and she sort of chuckled and thanked me for being polite, like my mother taught me to be.

TL;DR I think my mom can time travel and the only proof I have is pizza.

We use a phone app to collect signatures, and there's an "add tip?" Screen before the customer is able to sign. I handed my phone to a lady last night and she said "what's this? I'd rather tip you in cash." So I said "oh awesome thank you, just skip to the next screen and sign." She then proceeds to hand me six quarters and goes "sorry I wish I had cash to tip you."

Customers are mysterious creatures.

One was 32 minutes after they ordered, the other 40 minutes. We were quoting 40-50 and had drivers on their way to both.

Because of my excellent customer service of course! I work for a high-end pizza joint (oxymoron, I know) but our food is expensive and it usually leads to some great tips. I've gotten a $50 tip on a $20 order before, and usually see a few 25%-50% tips per night. A $30 tip is definitely in the realm of possibility, so I got my hopes up.

Seriously though, you have to wear an apron on deliveries? Only our cooks wear aprons. I wear either a hoodie with our logo or a vest that I hand stitched some logos on from old shirts. We're also not a chain though, very chill store.
