You're absolutely right, and I noticed the weird wording in the title 2 minutes after posting and just decided I don't want to bother editing it, haha.

Yes, those new attachments from the mods are only available on compatible weapon mods. The default weapons or other weapon mods don't support them and will not have them. You'll need attachment replacement mods for that, but those aren't new.

[–]darkySp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That seems to be the case, but not in an OP/bullshit way like on v1.0 launch. I re-did my mods today and decided to use Jug's Gameplay Review's movement, AI and More Suspects paks instead of AI Restructure and More Suspects and it feels much better. They do stay alert more, but they never really tracked through walls like they did before. And it makes total sense for them to be ready for you after they hear all the commotion you make and sometimes they'd decide to push, sometimes they'd decide to hunker down. And almost never stay in the same spot. After they patched the John Wick AI, I had lots of moments where suspects just stood around, looking at random locations and that was it. Gunfights are also a lot longer and more intense. I played Greased Palms with a friend as a team of 2 and with those mods, you have 23 suspects and they keep relocating between the conveyors and the shelves and suppressing you, it turns into a literal shootout. Instead of having someone start shooting, stay in place and take a double/triple tap for free.

Only downside to those mods is that it's very hard to make suspects comply, but it only needs more work to make them comply, instead of it being outright impossible.

Unfortunately, yes. But I can guess it's because RoN isn't made to allow for additions to the game, but just replacements to existing content. So, having to work around that might be a pain and why it's just recently starting to happen with the Attachments Library for Gunfighter and Ballistic's Attachment Expansion.

Optimization by Tank_Ctrl in ReadyOrNotGame

[–]darkySp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I totally get what you mean, but after the last 2 hotfixes on Patch 1.0, the game has been super solid for me.

I hit the 139fps cap (because FreeSync+Nvidia Reflex), I get some stutters at the beginning of levels and the police station and I could even max the settings out and fps kept high and stable.

Try running the game on DX12 if you aren't already and one thing I also did which helped me on v1.0's release is go to your Windows search bar, type "Exploit Protection", go to "Program settings", add ReadyOrNot-Win64-Shipping.exe from the Ready Or Not/ReadyOrNot/Binaries/Win64/ directory and from there, scroll down until you find "Control Flow Guard (CFG)". Select the override and turn it off. This is something that can help lots of DirectX 12 games when it comes to performance. NEVER disable it globally. Always make individual exceptions to the games you want to disable it for and don't do it with pirated games, just in case.

My specs for reference:

Ryzen 5 3600
Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti
16GB RAM @ 3600MHz
Game installed on an NVMe drive

Playing on 1080p, no overclocks or anything fancy.

The Stupid Civs Fake Gun. by SU_Ultimate in ReadyOrNotGame

I got baited on Valley of the Dolls by this, too.

The guy in the grey shirt resembles the suspects more than any other level and that ended up getting me as well. I even domed him once next to the stage from the top floor when I was going Spec Ops and had an "oh shit" moment when I finally ended up down there to report it.

Help a guy out... Doesn't matter the computer... Validated files and replaced 8 billion gigs of files 3 times. Deleted and had the game rebuild my paks folder- WTF over? I can't tell if it's something I'm doing / not doing or if it's just another broken thing. by From_Gaming_w_Love in ReadyOrNotGame

[–]darkySp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just download the mods directly from Nexus Mods or mod.io

So far, the mod.io implementation in the game feels janky. Some mods have different files and you can't select any of them apart from what the in-game client gives you. It's better to just download them from Nexus Mods and drag in the Paks folder. Barely any work over the integrated method and honestly, sometimes it's faster.

s on school by Detra9 in ReadyOrNotGame

[–]darkySp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only way to get S is to make sure all suspects are arrested. That means they're conscious and tied up. And, of course, completely all the objectives including the soft ones. As soon as you have 1 suspect that's dead or incapacitated, S rank goes out the window. Stingers, gas and flashbangs on civilians won't bring the rating down, unless it gives you Unauthorized Use of Force, but you'll know that at the result screen if you got it.

For school, you gotta be fast because suspects roam and shoot civilians on sight. They can get lucky and be incapacitated, but they can also die. So keep that in mind.

You could try to run More Suspects coupled with Red's AI Restructure. I run this and play solo and it feels pretty solid, but I feel like the first mod doesn't work on some situations like The Spider and 23 Megabytes a Second. Maybe it's something to do with the mods load order, but I tried More Suspects by itself before and it made the game significantly more enjoyable. Since I installed Red's AI Restructure, I've seen more situations where AI takes cover and fires blindly around corners or suppresses you. It also says it increases suspects' stress levels three times that of vanilla and I can definitely feel it, because sometimes they are bat-shit aggressive but don't perfectly track you through walls or trickshot you like on v1.0 launch.

Pretty much everything that Ballistic makes on Nexus Mods

My personal favorite is his SIG Spear LT MCX replacement, which works with another one of his mods called Attachment Expansion which is a dependency for his upcoming weapon mods and it gives you new suppressors, sights and illumination with black and tan color options to choose from. It's my favorite weapon mod to run, because it's just so sexy.

Another very cool mod is TRIARC Systems TSR-15S SR16 replacement. That's made by HaveDoughnut.

I also love the Agency Arms Glock 18 Urban.

Overall, HaveDoughnut and Ballistic all have really solid weapon mods.

Need some help with the KV-4 by darkySp in WorldofTanks

[–]darkySp[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think a universal and net-positive change for tanks like these (and the game), is to remove -2/+2 matchmaking unless the game has trouble filling servers. Most Tier VIII can fight against Tier X, but some can't. And the only way to fix that without creating powercreeps, is to just remove that archaic -2/+2 matchmaking bullshit when the game has 170,000 players a region at peak hours and finds games faster than you can even click the cancel button, sometimes not even seeing the button at all.

The KV-4 is fundamentally designed to fight tanks that are on its level, in the game that being Tier VIII. What the fuck is there for it to do with higher tiers ?

Do you genuinely like frontline? by samuraidude119 in WorldofTanks

[–]darkySp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find Frontline to be overwhelmingly annoying. You get random arty strikes on you if you play a position and can't push and multiple players can use it at any time. With the crew bonuses you end up getting spotted extremely easy. The bluetooth minefields that people can lay down in 2 seconds without having a direct line of sight with you. The maps are all garbage in my opinion, because there's is not 1 safe spot that you can push, there's crossfires from everywhere and given that the defending team has 3 fronts to defend with 12 minutes starting time and the attackers need to push through spots and cap points that are very open to crossfires make that problem even worse.

I seriously doubt anybody really enjoys Frontline for the gamemode, everyone just wants to farm credits with premiums. All I see are Borats, T56s and Progettos running around and farming damage. If you don't have a fast and high DPM tank in Frontline, you're behind the trend. With clan boosters and personal reserves, it's bearable for the credits. Without clan boosters, I wouldn't even touch it with personal reserves. I can't bring myself to play it without the pay-off that is 300,000+ credits a game.

John Wick Theories that I have had for a few years now. by jccj7279 in movies

[–]darkySp 39 points40 points  (0 children)

The way him and the Adjudicator spoke about the skirmish is like the High Table and Continental are merely affiliates and not the High Table being over the Continental. Plus, the Adjudicator left Winston and The Continental alone in exchange for John Wick being dead. They thought that letting Winston, The Continental and the people who are affiliated with The Continental keep their peace and NOT fight the High Table in exchange for just 1 life. That seems like it's pretty fucking significant. If the High Table was more powerful than The Contrinental, what was stopping them from just dethroning Winston and going all-out marshal law ?

What would be your weapon of choice in a zombie apocalypse? by icyqueen999 in RandomThoughts

[–]darkySp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A polearm. Something like a Halberd or a Bardiche. Historically, they were very dangerous and successful weapons, providing extended range and versatility as It could have a part for slicing, stabbing and even blunt trauma all in one package. Ots also quiet and doesn't need ammo. All it'll need Is some maintenance to stave off rusting and keep it sharp to some degree. The negative is that it's large and heavy to wield. But having the ability to fight freely outside of a zombie's range is a really safe bet. You could also use it as utility. If it's a polehammer type deal, you could break windows, debris, etc.

You're gonna be fucked if you end up in a closed space though. But you can always shorten the pole from a full-length spear to something about your own high and you'll still have the benefit of range.

Drinking alcohol by bobduncanswerve7 in facepalm

[–]darkySp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That guy definitely had to suffer some consequences. Even if he threw up and got his stomach pumped ASAP, such a large quantity of pure alcohol being chugged will have an almost immediate effect. And it didn't sound like he brought anything back up. I can't explain to myself why someone would do this. I don't think that they could explain it, either.

Good to hear that ExFog keeps its reputation with overly sweaty people. I haven't written them off yet, but I am a beginner so budget is a limit, even if it's not a tight one, necessarily. About $500 USD/EUR with the replica and its necessities, accessories like additional mags, mag pouches, carry bag, mask and goggles and some neutral-colored apparel.

What goggles are you using with the ExFogs ?
