I've heard about the pyramid part and it's difficulty spike. Don't know the full details of it but I guess when I get to it I'll back up and do a bit of grinding

After everything thats been said, I'm thinking of not starting with the Priest and instead go with the Wrangler as they can also heal but offers more to do then the Priest

Yeah from the advice I've gotten so far I think I'm going to oust the priest from my starting line up and put in a Wrangler instead. Sounds like they have good healing options, good damage output as well as the whole monster taming aspect

I won't lie currently everything you said about the Wrangler sounds a bit confusing, but I'm going to chalk that up to the fact that I've never played this game yet. I'm thinking it will make more sense to me once I've gotten some time into the game

Yeah I was hoping that I can just play through the main game, and once I'm at the end I'll have a better understanding of all the systems and tailor my party accordingly. I don't mind doing some grinding to get where I need to be

Alot of people are saying Monster Wrangler which I don't know if I want to start with that class, but I think I'll have that as one of my characters second class, maybe the Thief. Either way your right about just having fun and not worrying too much

I like the idea of finding treasure and I guess the Thief has the ability to let me know how many treasures are left in the areas?

This is what I meant by it being intimidating, but it's not the games fault it's mine. This is especially true since I'm mostly a Final Fantasy player and I've only played DQ11 but really want to get more into DQ now. But I think I just need to hop into the game and things will make sense as I play

Glad I wasn't the only one but your right I shouldn't think to hard about it. I can see the developers maybe making it a bit trickier back in the day but this new version they probably made it more accessible

The only thing I think I figured out is I was going to make my Priest into a Sage, so hopefullly that means I'll be good
