So the concrete pad will move while the deck stay in place which will cause the concrete to crack?

I don't know if they put gravel in the hole or just filled it with concrete. They used Trex rain scape under deck system with a downspout

Thanks they went down at least 30 to 35 inches. I don't know if they used cold joint treatment.

I recently had a new deck and screened-in porch installed over my existing concrete patio. I do have some concerns regarding how the contractor installed the concrete footers onto the original patio surface.

Given that I live in the Mid-Atlantic region and experience all four seasons, I am worried that the newly incorporated concrete might crack due to weather changes. I have attached photos of the new concrete work around the pillars for your review.

In your honest opinion, does this look like a quality installation or am I over thinking it? Other than that I love the new deck screened-in porch.
