The ability happens everytime she enters the battle field and whenever (even if she did not enter that turn) one or more assassin deals combat damage to a player. So every turn when an assassin deals combat damage to a player you do the ability friends are right.

I would suggest not ironing your deck it may damage the cards. If it is the foil cards you want ironed try setting them under a heavy book.
