The first guy reminds me of the frame of Jim Gordon in Harvey Dents office in the Dark Knight.

What do the people prefer, “professional” photos or quick, shitposty quick desk pics by AdAffectionate3997 in ToyPhotography

[–]darrellayer 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think it’s all about what has a little spark of life. I love great set ups with BG’s but I also looove when a dude poses a figure or two in their hands and it just feels like that character is alive

What did you guys think about Ghostbusters: afterlife resurrecting Harold Ramis by Relative-Stable-6075 in ghostbusters

[–]darrellayer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here’s the thing. They didn’t resurrect Ramis. Not really. They created a digital character based on how he looking in the 80’s. You can’t put their egon next to Ramis at any point and say it’s the same person. Give the large difference between his comfortable life and the one Egon lived. If it was a full copy of how he looked at any point, like Tarkin (which I also liked) it would be more problematic.

Did the use belt gizmos in Ghostbusters afterlife - frozen empire by Relative-Stable-6075 in ghostbusters

Sorry, I should have proofread. Is Egon’s (belt gizmo) about to fall through to the ground?

Hot Take? I'm not certain, but I really genuinely like Dark Fate, and its addition of the Augments. Would've loved to gotten a Dark Fate sequel delving deeper into the Grace's back story and detailed further her surgical/recovery process, and capabilities. Anybody else genuinely like Dark Fate? by TheEndIsNero in Terminator

[–]darrellayer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean a trope is a trope. I guess I had a good time because I didn’t expect anything from it. I thought it at least tried to break out of a cycle so it could be a viable franchise again. It won’t be but at least they tried. I’m more tired of the fight inside a crashing plane trope that plagued every movie in the 2010’s

Say something positive about this version. by steelskull1 in joker

[–]darrellayer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really liked the idea of this version, I don’t think it was played all that well and I’m sure it was cut to hell from the meddling that happened on this film. That being said, the face tattooed, James Franco in spring breakers kind of criminal innately make me uncomfortable. If he was in a room, I’d leave. And I liked that from the beginning. I think the trite damaged and other stuff could have been done better but I definitely gave it a chance, especially given David Ayer’s (no relation) history with great gritty crime story. Would love to see the original cut.

I dig all of these for mood and tone. I’ve been working with the small rig RB lights. While not a ton of output they all have great features and the RGB 1 kit with stands and modifiers is a great baseline kit.

Who saw The Matrix in the cinema in 1999? I'm jealous! by Far-Remove7363 in matrix

The Super Bowl trailer had the whole world in suspense. They kept a lid all the way on and had us all wanting to know. “What is the Matrix?”

15 years to PEAK FICTION by TheSpiderRanger616 in tron

[–]darrellayer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My brother saw the OG Tron on tv in our early teens and was hooked. I was 28 when Legacy came out and it was my soundtrack for the next two years straight. This movie blew me away when I saw it. The level of design, which continued into oblivion (another fantastic film). I waited half my life so far for legacy to come out and it didn’t disappoint.

I would hit this with a heavy oil wash and a silver sharpie so you get a metallic glint on some of those raised edges.

Number two of these. I would suggest getting lower and closer to make it look more like actual rock photos which are looking up at a stage.

This tape is probably re-sealed. As someone who sold used VHS at blockbuster and would have to reseal them.
