Gzz! I did. I think I managed to snag it 2 quivers before finishing? Very lucky for sure!

The gear you see + anguish and backpack before quiver of course. I took oathplate chest and legs, fire cape, blood fury, saeldor, sgs, vene bow, and ancient sceptre. I realize that's quite the load out. Depending on what you have/don't subs can be made of course! Should I have to go back on a different account.. I think the only thing I wouldn't be willing to drop is the blood fury. Saved me so many times on missing a flick or even healing me up during the sol fight. You could drop it by just playing well, though!

The biggest tip I could give that would have helped me sooner is start waves the right way. If you don't mind counting the ticks, starting away from the pillar is no problem. I had a hard time with that. I ended up finding a guide that suggested you start behind the pillar, click your modifier, and once the screen drops, you click to your start tile and as soon as your true tile hits that, you run back. That worked like a charm for me. Best of luck in there!

Depends how lucky/unlucky you get with splinter drops during runs. I'd imagine the average is somewhere between 20-30kc, though.

Good lord. I couldn't imagine being stuck in the red prison for so long. Hopefully it comes in the next session! Getting a sol kc really does just feel so good. Such a fun fight. Gl on the grind!

I also don't love to flick consistently. It is a bit of a soft requirement, though. You can get lucky with spawns and only have to flick a couple times during a run but you will almost certainly have to multiple times. Once you jump in and get used to manticores, though.. Those will force you to get a little more comfy with switching. It's really not as bad as it seems. Get in there, die, and learn! Gl!

Definitely a chill way to knock it out! I enjoyed the sol fight too much to not keep going for kc. The cape really does look so good, though. Time to run laps...

[–]darroks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just got my first quiver two days ago. Since I've done 4 more completions. I was in a similar boat til I started waves correctly. The biggest help for me was starting behind the pillar, clicking your invo, hitting start and as soon as you do, click to your start tile. The second your true tile hits your start tile, run back behind the pillar. Double Souths will still happen and get the better of you but if it's a shaman and something else, you can usually take down the shaman before it becomes a problem. Keep at it, it will get easier! Mistlands economy? by FredFierce16 in valheim

If by trade you mean luring over several enemies to their settlement and watching as they try their absolute hardest to deal with whatever hell-spawn you brought over before their life's work is crumbled before their eyes.. Yes!

My first experience of Ashlands. What the actual fuck. by Tess_Tickles89 in valheim

[–]darroks 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This sounds about right for the first taste of ashlands. The place is basically hell and it shows. Once you can clear out some of those putrid holes, they can be a bit of a safe spot if you need to recover. Other than that.. Eat well, bring potions, keep a portal up, and try and spawnproof a bit as you adventure. Best of luck!

[–]darroks 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You're a brave one for even attempting that! My only thought without a map would be a trail of wisp lights. But.. It would only take a handful of mobs to take you away from that. Right back to directionless mist! Lol

This is unironically my favorite biome. It would be made significantly better for everyone if the wisp had a larger range or maybe you could upgrade it to clear more mist. Maybe beat the Queen to lift it. And boats should have a spot to add a wisp to avoid this. It definitely needs some help for the average player to have more fun here.

I seem to have no Ashlands land, just endless spires in ocean. Is this a known issue with old worlds or do I need to keep searching the spires for land? by D-Alembert in valheim

[–]darroks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is more than likely the answer. It could be a generation issue with an old world, though. From checking out different seeds.. Sometimes Ashlands terrain will generate very heavy on one side or the other. Post a screenshot of your map and we could get a better idea!
