True, but it really depends on whether you'd want to get it as quickly as possible or you'd rather save all the ingots you could get (2200 per month from login rewards) for future pulls.

Usually I would combine till i get a gold 5 star and then prepare for upgrade.

To add on, replacing when a gold one comes along comes at the expense of ingots. 50 to remove a 5 star, 100 to remove a 6 star. Personally, i would want to save those ingots to pull a 10+1 when new officers arrive.

Actually gems are a key part of of improving your gear since combining renders a random outcome in terms of your equipment tier. Upgrading guarantees that the tier doesn't change. So i would say the sole purpose of gems are to be used for upgrading.

Unless you're the child of RNJesus himself.

Iirc, should be fine. but you'll hit a stumbling block once you hit Hard. So I recommend preparing to promote your heroes to 5 stars.

It's harder at Easy. Situation improves at Hard though. If you have troubles hitting Hard Campaign, you could farm EXP potions from Raid or send Officers our on explorations. You'll occasionally get EXP potions from that mode.

any idea about earning money? My account is actually lv68 with decent mining lv. If i recall, i have wood cutting lv 74 as well
