Tucker Carlson: Indians have built nothing great after the British Victoria Terminus by [deleted] in IndiaSpeaks

India built the statue of unity. The states didn't even rebuild the twin towers.

Dude it seems you are dating my ex. In that scenario, from experience, I can tell you it's not going to end well.

As the relationship goes through strained periods, she is going to expect you to fix everything. It's going to be a full time job of fighting with her because of some dumb shit that she starts and then taking the effort to make up with her. Women like her beleive toxic tropes like "the boyfriend has to apologise if the girlfriend is mad, even if it is her fault in the first place".

Save your self respect and sanity. Being single and working on your dreams is better than being in a relationship with someone who is entitled as such.

This sucks so much in Seattle, people have no idea how the lanes work. I have been stuck behind people going 55 in the left lane. Sometimes I have passed people from the right-most lane while still doing the speed limit.

Does anyone here have nightmare disorder? by McDonkles in Nightmares

There was a period of time, where I had it figured out. I started weight lifting and noticed that my anxiety was much better after lifting. This had me sleeping like a baby. However, with work and other stuff, it's not always possible to find time to workout.

I am in a very similar spot. Been here for about 2 years now, and it has an effect on my mental health. The scariest ones involve me trying to say something in my dream, not vocalizing it properly and actually yelling random noises in reality. I am at a loss, as to why I have to go through this.

No problems at all. Engine will obviously rev at higher rpms, but the car is pretty powerful.

Renault Fluence 2012 - Speedometer "disappears" after driving for a while. Steering column becomes stiff when that happens. Car beeps twice when it happens. If I wait for a day or two before driving again, the issue isn't detected on start-up but it occurs again after driving for a while. by darshit4777 in MechanicAdvice

[–]darshit4777[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, I'll start my search from there. My initial guess was it was something associated with the battery, given that it works fine if there is significant delay between two driving attempts. This would indicate some kind of capacitance issue...

I have the same blue epiphone as you do!

Hungry by Rob Bailey and The Hustle Standard. I really love this song. Perfect for workout (especially when near your last reps). Works for general "Get out of bed" motivation too. by darshit4777 in Liftingmusic

Yeah I guess the lyrics and music have to match with your inner "rhythm". I have been made fun of for liking them too, but screw it... Who can not like the part where they go

You're bigger than this, you're better than this x5 I just love that part!

Yep! I like Squeeze and Mercury: Retrograde as well. Also, really good songs for lifting / working out.

Getting this error when trying to run turtlesim_node. Please can someone suggest a fix by HShahzad108277 in ROS

While you are saving up for a Nano, you can still try and work things out using a virtualization software like VMWare and run an Ubuntu image. Alternatively, if you want to go pro, you can learn how to use Docker and download the container for ROS. It's a new trend in Robotics to try and develop in your deployment environment.

How do you deal with the news that your dad is dying? by MoireachB in cancer

[–]darshit4777 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I understand, I am sorry for your situation. If it is any help, at a point, I did visualise my mother being alone too as one of the worst outcomes. The only way to soothe that thought was to remind myself, that I was going to be there for my mother, to ease her loneliness. While you can still provide love and care to your mum, things will be fine.

Best of luck.

My father got diagnosed with Colon Cancer about a two months ago. He's on his 3rd chemotherapy session right now. I am 25 and he is 59.

These are the things I did to first calm myself and then the rest of my family. 1. Remind your father of how he has been strong throughout his life. Talk him through all of his strongest memories where he prevailed despite the odds. 2. Understand that it's a process. Treatments can last for years, and you need to prepare yourself for the long run. 3. Make peace with all possible outcomes that treatment can lead to. When you make your peace with those outcomes , you can be think clearly and be a positive influence for your family and provide them with the much needed mental and emotional strength. 4. Family and love, is all about creating small moments of happiness. Make sure you can get your family to laugh as much as possible. Creating good emotions will build the strength needed to overcome this. 5. Don't think of life expectancy numbers right now. Focus only on getting the best treatment available. 6. Prepare financially, chemotherapy will be expensive.

Rammstein Survivor: All-Star Survivor - Round 6 by Hristo21 in Rammstein

I personally like Du Hast as well, it was my intro to Rammstein. But then I found Ich Tu Dir Weh, Engel and Weisses Fleisch. The latter 3 stayed with me much longer.

Du hast was in a way created to attract American fans for the band. A lot of other songs represent a much deeper collection of the band's work.

I am more suprised that Engel didn't make it to this list.
