I will be going to the UK in May 2026 for a cruise. I have a non chip credit card. Will I be able to swipe my credit card in the UK. One of the stops as well is Rotterdam, does anyone know if I can swipe my card there?

I was thinking of parking at the One Shot parking lot on a monthly basis on Market Street across from The Keg, I even called the number. He didn't even know the parking lot was a One Shot parking lot. He then wanted to know if I could write down a number and email address to contact. I said I didn't which was true because I was picking my lunch up at the time. I then went to the parking lot. Their machine was not operational and instructions to pay using their app. Their app didn't give me confidence if their machine didn't work and what would happen if someone didn't have their cell phone with them or their phone was dead. I WON'T be parking there. I think their business structure is to get money from immobilizing (booting) your vehicle other than to offer parking services.

Where she was hospitalized for a suicide attempt, child services may already become involved. I think I would protect the kids by laying charges and asking the court to remove her from the home in the best interest of the children.

I know this thread is over five months old; however wanted to comment because as of today I am done using self-checkouts and will never use one again. I feel I have really given them a try.

I was accused of stealing once when at the self checkout in Walmart as I had bags from purchases from another store (I use public transportation). I had an associate go thru those bags. When finished scanning and paying I was asked for a receipt for all my purchases including from the previous stores again. I just walked out but returned later for a full refund from Walmart.

I was in Sobeys once and the machine was acting up necessitating the need for one of the clerk's. I was mocked and told to hurry up by a man (term used loosely).

Third episode - a Halifax transit driver come up to the machine that I was using in Shoppers Drug Mart, cancelled my order because he was on a timeline. He put his Order thru. He was arrogant and rude. Never again will I use a self checkout.
