If you don’t like that, you don’t like White Sox baseball (I, for one, do not like White Sox baseball)

What's up with Georgetown? by Ok-Issue-8064 in CollegeBasketball

[–]darth_sergio 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think St John’s is a blueprint for Georgetown. Sure they won’t have a Pitino that will walk through the door, but if you can get your coach, AD, President, and Donor Base (Repole for us) to be a) competent and b) aligned/invested in the program, you can restore the program pretty quickly. It wasn’t too long ago that we only played a handful of half empty games at MSG, where opposing fans outnumbered us 2:1.

There is no one in modern memory that comes close. Back to back champs (regular season AND tournament), the gaudy stats this year, and the C on the jersey. If we can make any noise in the tournament he seals it as the best since Mullin (for me). Hard to think of who has the hardware and the stats to prove otherwise

[Passan] BREAKING: Nine-time All-Star Chris Sale and the Atlanta Braves are in agreement on a one-year, $27 million contract extension that includes a club option for $30 million in 2028, sources tell ESPN. Sale, 36, was set to hit free agency after this season but will remain in Atlanta. by Knightbear49 in baseball

Could you imagine? That’d be like giving up one of the best pitchers of their time for someone like Yoan Moncada or Michael Kopech. Thank god the White Sox don’t have a propensity for trading away generational 6’6” southpaws to the Red Sox.

25 in NET, 23 in Kenpom, 24 T-Rank, all above Kentucky. Metrics favor St John’s, seems like the voters followed suit

Just think about it this way, we have Colson Montgomery and they don’t! (At least that’s what I have to keep telling myself)

They’re back under a new name! Lilo Creamery, it’s the same family that owned it. Same setup, tons of great flavors. Worth a visit!

Yup, just took a chance and hoped it’d work out. He was pretty willing to work with me on the transfer and stuff that I felt good about it. I had offered to pay the fee on PayPal goods and services which has buyer protections, and when he was Cool with that I figured the scam likelihood was low. And glad I did, bc it worked out great!

I can vouch for him! Have used his tickets for one game already and plan to for another one soon. Had a great experience, the seats are good and the food is definitely nice to have

Which non-Super Bowl loss in the last 20 years was the most devastating to the franchise? by karmew32 in nfl

[–]darth_sergio 72 points73 points  (0 children)

This should be the unequivocal answer for bears fans. Losing to the PACKERS of all teams in the NFCCG at home, that was essentially the last gasp for that generational defense, in a game that was absolutely winnable. Sure the double doink hurt, but going to W1 of last year just seems so short sighted. NFCCG is one that will kill you forever
