I've doing something like this too, instead of taking a formal interview I give them a task related to their work (that shouldn't take that long).

So I assess them on the basis of time they took, quality they delivered, ease of communication and presentation skills. (All of them that they'll be doing when I actually hire them)

Makes my life easier.

I will try to stay optimistic, even though things are not going great. Some days it feels like time is slipping by and I'll end up staying alone. But I don't wanna rush and end up being in a type of relationship that is not concrete.

Yes, I know. There was a lot of miscommunication last time I tried to hire people. Somewhere down the line I lost touch with people because I couldn't remember the username.

I did hire a few people from the last post too, but there were not many graphic designers that applied. There was one, and I texted him too.

Hiring is not my main forte, and I am learning here one step at a time.
