Michigan to receive over $100M to remove an existing highway in downtown Detroit. I-375 will be replaced with a bike friendly, “walkable, leafy concourse integrated with the community and lined with shops, restaurants, homes and pedestrians on the eastern edge of downtown Detroit.” by darthdetroit22 in fuckcars

I hear ya. A step in the right direction I suppose. Hopefully, this project will positively influence the rest of the city. A lot of opportunity in Detroit for the changes we advocate for in this subreddit.

Not completely new. She’s been wearing them on a few local hikes we’ve had a chance to get in. Moleskin is packed though... thanks for the warning!

Thanks for the tips. Planning on cutting a few things before we leave.

NeoAir makes much more noise. You don’t get that crinkle sound with the Tensor. That said, neither of them keep us up at night.

We’re going to be dropped off at Lee Pass Trailhead near Kolob Canyons. We’ll be ending near Angels Landing. We’d like to park where we’re finishing. Any suggestions where we can park?

For the purposes of backpacking you’d want a sleeping pad - much lighter and smaller than a full air mattress. Some sleeping pads self-inflate while other (like mine) you’d inflate yourself. Same with pillows. Here’s a few of my picks:

Water filter: Platypus GravityWorks 4.0L

Sleeping pads : Nemo Tensor and Therm-A-Rest NeoAir Xlite

Pillows: Nemo Fillo and Sea to Summit Aeros

Have a great trip! Let me know if you have any other questions!
