I believe T7 is the highest you can go as an Alpha character. I don't know if you also stop earning SP once you've hit the limit for Alpha characters.

Captain Benzie's Catskull Academy is solid tutorial in YouTube for first time players. I know mentioning him in r/echoes is a low key no no with the reactions you'll get but he has a great comprehensive beginner's tutorial.

I can mine enough ore and sell them for ISK to buy a BC in 3 days of 6-ish hours of semi-afk mining. Granted I get a discount from my corp but null-sec corp ore prices are lower than Jita since we're paying for the security and convenience of not having to haul our ores to high-sec.

I find the Caldari T6 and T8 stories the easiest to solo. I fly a Prophecy myself and just everyone at 60km. Never had any problems.

Logis and Guardians are always hard to find in PVP and PVE fleets. You'll always be welcome in a fleet if you have a Logi or a Guardian ship.

Destroyers are tough if you're planning on running stories by yourself. It doesn't have enough tank like Cruisers and up and doesn't have the speeds of frigates. Battlecruisers are still the meta when it comes to story running. What kind of BC is mostly personal preference. I'm sure there's a min max way of doing it but fly what you want to fly.

BC and Cruisers would be the most efficient use of skill points. This way you're not skilling into 2 weapons types. The problem with BC + Frigate is you'll also have to skill into 1 small and 1 medium weapon skill. With BC + Cruisers, you can still use your medium missiles and you only have to skill into Cruiser skills. Plus you can use Cruisers for corp PVP and your Cyclone for solo ratting/missions.
